Top comment.

"This song will certainly help get the word out to the public at large concerning the truth regarding the mass murder of approximately 3,000 innocent men, women and children by the tyrannical United States government on September 11,2001. Well done!"

Yes, I got the joke. When I was all of 5 years old, I discovered my parent's old 8-track of their Spirits Having Flown album, and... *gulp*... became a young fan of them for a month...

But I got better!

So the title of the thread is a lie, the Bee gees haven't 'come out in support of 9/11 truth'?

I have to wonder about anyone who is still so into the BeeGees.

I thought they sucked in the 1970s.

Yeah, the "Impeach" on Bush's face suggested it must have been earlier than Feb 2010 - the upload date on the video. But I couldn't take that for granted given the average intelligence and political understanding of the Truthers.

Yeeeeaahhh! Piss-weak "angry metal" band with war porn-esque intro-video.

I sometimes wonder if it is the death and destruction that the Truthers love. I think for many of them it really was just television and entertainment.

Maybe you can watch this "Babes in Bikinis" video "9/11 was like soooo an inside job!"

Sucks totally. I think they are all wearing masks because they look even fuglier than the dirtbag vocalist.

And it sucked then, too. I would be surprised if somebody hadn't turned '911 Is A Joke' into a piece of popaganda.

The five seconds that I listened to reminded me of "Radar Gun', by the Bottlerockets. Except the Bottlerockets don't suck.

And to the Bee Gee's haters- their good stuff is from the 60's.....

Now, now, boys! There was life before disco, you know. I was thinking of starting a thread in one of the Arts/Pop sub-forums on "worst transitions" and I was going to use Bee Gees 68 to 75 vs Hot Bee Gees Disco as the comparison.

A lot of good stuff, musically, in their early years. (A couple of real dogs, too... like Massssssachusssssettttts....) Ever hear what Eric Burdon did with "To Love Somebody"?

"The Bee Gees suck!" Mmmm, timely. What's next on the agenda, knocking Donna Summer down a rung or two? I personally have no interest in huge swathes of the Bee Gees post-sixties work, but some of their disco stuff is fun.

The only thing duller than a "Pedantic Bore" is a music snob*.

*Yeah, I know we're almost all music snobs to one degree or another. For example the only death metal I've ever come close to enjoying was written by Brendon Small for a fictional band.

Faith No More did a great cover of "I Started A Joke". I think the lyrics are fitting for a truther.

My friends' old truther band was a **** ton better than that crap. Guess what the song "7" is about lol. IIRC one of their demos was funded by a truth group.

I like the Bee Gees. I like what they do.

I see them as Jedward plus one.*

*And I like Jedward so that's praise indeed
