Note, by the by, I would happily have machine gunned the crowds watching their betters (scientists and others with real skills and value) being executed (and, of course stopping those executions.) Lavoisier by himself was worth at least a thousand of the maddened crowd.

Trump is in France now. Bastille Day is tomorrow. We've had a taste already. Any last minute thoughts on what kind of ninja magic Macron will deploy against Trump during the coming festivities? Will it be the throwing stars? The smoke bomb? My vote is the Log Trick.

I think Macron set up a trap to basically make Trump look like an idiot and Macron look like a statesman...and boost Macron's standing in France. And Trump's ego made him walk right into it. Going be interesting.
