No, I don't want a KW...I want an International (with a DT466) or a Ford F-650 (with a gas V10). Actually, I mostly want to get out of the awful Freightliner M2 I drive. (I drive a box truck, not a semi.)

Meat medium-well...pass on the goat's milk.

Can't blame you about the Freightshaker. As to other box trucks, that Ford might be the best of the lot. (Though I do like the look of the KW T300.)

Would you prefer a beer to the goat's milk?

By The way Jaraxle have a fresh glass of Goats milk and tune in on Fridays when I post the weekend BBQ menu One of the last trucks I ever drove was an 08 freight shaker with a piece of crap Mercede engine. it could smell a hill miles away. And it had an auto tranny which I hated too. it would not shift when I wanted it too and would shift when I did not want it to . We do have a tandem Freight shaker Tanker in the fire Dept. but she has a huge Kitty under her hood

I love Internationals, especially the DT466 engine...but the F650 isnt bad, & the V10 avoids all the emission junk on the new diesels.

No you need a big ole Cummins or a big Kitty under the hood that DT 466 is ok for little trucks, but not for the big rigs

Just saw a tractor with a DT466 in it...it seems to haul 65,000lbs of beer just fine!

My FL has a Cat, I am mightily unimpressed.

Unless they are vegetarian, of course, in which case they get carrots and brussels sprouts and peas from my housemate's garden. In season, naturally.

well, there is dandelion wine, too.

And I remember my mother made dandelion 'honey', boiling their flowers togtether with sugar. Was sort of intended to be a honey substitute. But was rather more like dandellon syrup, I'd say.

Hello everyone.

This is a great forum. I mean it. I'm happy to be a member (seriously).

I'm Ricky. Last night I finished editing my new videostory, The Big Bang, Evolution, and other Myths, and uploaded it to where anyone who wants to see it can do so. I'm not allowed to post any links yet, but it's on YouTube, so those who want to see it would have to perform a YouTube search.

I have a passion for verismo opera and hockey: the biggest reason I still read the New York Post; they cover both rather well. A few years ago, I did some quick calculations and was surprised by the results. Turns out that in order to publish an ad-free daily newspaper and break even, one must charge about $7 per copy. I guess the list of items that the phrase "you get what you pay for" describes includes the truth, or at least the journalist version of it; which makes it quite a bargain to get decent opera and hockey coverage for only 75 cents.

Hi Ricky.

I think this is it. I'll watch it later. (Sounds like a bit a swearing in there)

Good luck, have fun, and return here if you have any questions.

Greetings Everyone!

I am a long time forum reader, and first time poster. I figure it's time to start actually replying to threads, instead of telling my cat what I think about it. However as a result she is quite knowledgable when it comes to skepticism....
I would also like to know people other than myself at TAM this year

Welcome chatnoir. If you see the goat [forum mascot] give it a pat. The canteen is straight down the corridor and to your left you'll find Colonel's kitchen and brewery.

Hi, Ketyk.

Foul language is part of life. I'm not particularly fond of it, and only use it where the logic of the narrative requires it, always. Specifically, I resort to it three or four times in this particular story as a ... hmm ... architectonics device. I use a lot more "cuss" words in my narratives about verismo opera.

What I find truly baffling is the fact that many folks (present company excluded, of course) seem to react negatively to obscenities (they can't hear it, they start crying, etc) while COMPLETELY ignoring the fact that the phrase "Oh my God" that pretty much EVERYONE I know uses uses habitually, is a direct violation of the Third Commandment. I hear it dozens of times every day - from people in the street, from my friends, from children (!); it has been astoundingly popular among cinematographers and TV writers since before I was born; and no one seems to object, not even church officials whose responsibilities should include (one would think) noticing such things and pointing them out to their flock.

Enjoy the video!

I mentioned the swearing only in that it may have been NSFW.

Regarding "Oh My God", calling it a commandment sounds so official. "Thou shalt not kill" I take as a general rule of thumb. And unless "Coveting thy neighbors wife" isn't acted upon, then I'm fine with that.

Anyway, here are the important rules.

For the newbies, this forum has an autocensor. Any word that is not permitted is automatically bleeped out. If it isn't bleeped out, then it's permitted. "****" is bleeped out. "Crap" is not.

Just write the way you normally would, and the forum software will take care of the bad words. Trying to circumvent or trick the autocensor by substituting letters is a breach of the rules and you may be infracted for it.

Howdy everyone!

I'm a REFORMED conspiracy loon (JFK, UFOs, Bigfoot, etc). I'm putting myself through college working toward a degree in Marine Geology.

As a former conspiracy dumbass I hope to be of help once in a while.

I play guitar, like photography, folklore, and history.

Hi all newer ones!

Axxman, Marine Geology is a GREAT field to get into as our abilites to do it and to mine from the ocean floor has very greatly grown over the last years.

And while I am sure you know more than I on the subject, I do have a little experience in Geology and in the ocean. My Ocean experience is due to sailing on it in many types of ships / boats ect as well having been a Life Guard, Scuba and Deep Sea Diver.

My experience in geology comes from being around my father who was a Harvard Summa Cum Laude Graduate with degrees in both Geology & Mining Engineering.
And he taught at the Colorado School of Mines which is considered to be one of the best in that field in the world. (He did not stay as he would rather be in the field.)

This resulted in my living in mining towns and also listening to my Dad talk about Geology. Plus, one summer, staking Uranium Claims around Moab, Utah.

SO GOOD ON YOU and I WISH YOU THE BEST!

Hi everybody. I'm new, seeking information and perhaps some sympathy. LOL.

I'll post more details in the appropriate topic, but in short, my elderly mother has been taken in by a......quack.

He's a chiropractor, but does very little actual chiropractic. He does things like head tapping (to reset your brain), diagnosis of things like liver flukes, encephalitis, West Nile, and my favorite thing: removal of entities including space aliens.

He's a great man. He cures cancer. He saves lives.

And he performs the best wallet biopsies in town.

Hi Daughter (weird even writing that)

Of course you have my sympathy. I have an elderly mother, and I do my best.

Here are some threads that deal with Chiropractics: http://www.internationalskeptics.com...g=chiropractic

Let me (us) know if you need anything else.

Welcome Daughter have a fresh glass of Goats milk and think of the legal ways to get even with this guy that is cleaning out you moms pocket book, Then if they don't work I'm sure we can go to the dark side and make him wish he had never started his quackery. Welcome back Neil and remember to play well with others
