The point of bringing up that Clark said his name multiple times was to point out what you had stated before, that it appears the man is personalizing the argument by repeatedly "calling out" Whitfield. Despite repeatedly calling Whitfield out, which was against the rules, the board didn't seem to follow their own policy and stop it.
ETA: Let alone, Whitfield was being "called out" for something that wasn't actually happening in reality. |

That all appears to be from the Superintendent. Which is why, now, Dr. Whitfield gets to rebut those accusations. If I'm understanding it all, the district (which I'm learning is mostly the superintendent) will have to bring the details to light. The actual boardmembers are only reading the accusations against Whitfield that he will have to address.

I'm guessing this WaPo editorial that calls his firing a "win for white power" is going to help with the school district's PR problem.

If anybody is still interested in this case, there's an interview with Mr Whitfield in The Guardian today:
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...eory-firestorm The good news is that, although he's on "administrative leave", he is still being paid $125,000 a year until 2023, so that's nice. |

True, and his cred has surely gone up in some circles as much as it has gone down in others. The question is, can he find another district that is willing to take the risk of receiving the unwanted attention he may bring to the party? He very publicly slammed his employers, internationally even.

I have absolutely no doubts he'll get something.
The fact is he SHOULD have called out his employers as they were in the wrong. Will it be in the same neighborhood he's in now? No, probably not, but $200k gives you a lot of moving options. It would be different if he actually did something wrong, but as far as I can tell, there's nothing he did that warrants the treatment he received. It was just CRT panic. |

I agree entirely on the CRT thing. but he did slam his employers as racists over the photos, which I think was out of line (although it was kind of an aside while he was pissed about the other treatment he was getting). The stuff about insubordination and something about deleting emails is still a little fuzzy, but I'm guessing it was tied in with his immediate and justified anger over the CRT kerfluffle.
