No one has started a thread about Jason Smith Yet?

The MO GOP US Rep yelled "Go back to Puerto Rico!" at a Democrat colleague in open session and on the floor of the House.

The pig later "apologized" for it, but I don't buy it for a minute. I live in MO, and know how common that attitude is in MO GOPpers.

This isn’t news. Every Republican elected at the state and federal level is a racist scumbag, as are their supporters.

Where have you been since 1980?

I don't think that's quite accurate. Smith would have been censured by House GOP back in Reagan's era, or even under Bush 41 for that crap.

Tony Cárdenas isn't from Puerto Rico and his parents are, as far as I can tell, from Mexico.

He organized the Puerto Rico trip though. What am I missing?

Quote:
“Congressman Smith’s comment was directed at all the Democrats who were vacationing down in Puerto Rico last weekend during the government shutdown, not towards any individual member,” Brown said.
??? Are his parent originally from PR? If so, it seems like a stretch that he should be offended.

Quote:
But Rep. Tony Cardenas, a Democrat from California, said he believed the comment was directed at him. Cardenas, who organized the Puerto Rico trip, said he heard “go back to Puerto Rico” several times while he was growing up in Pacoima, California.

???

You're going to keep peddling this lie? I've come to expect better of you.* Thirty Democrats, not the entire party, were at a long-since arranged get-together and conference. Yeah, that's the way PACs and support groups do it. They schedule these things in resorts and desired destinations to get more people to show up.

But as I pointed out previously, 30 Congresspersons still left Pelosi with a majority to pass any bill sent down from Turtle Acres.... had they done a damned thing.

*Just a little jocularity, there. No one, least of all me, expects you to be anything but a partisan hack.

You mean like the scam that Mexico was going to pay for the wall, and they won't, so Trump expects US Americans to cough up the 5 billion+ and until they do he will continue his temper tantrum and keep the government shut down causing hardship on US Americans? That scam you mean?

Start a thread about every scumbag politiker who jumps up and yells something offensive?

There isn't enough time in the universe for that.

Wow. 30 Democrats go to a conference and have some entertainment that had been arranged months ago, utter outrage from the Right.

Trump divulges National Secrets putting Congressmen, their aides, their security, US military, and others in danger, and then doubles down by doing it again, this time adding innocent civilians to the firing line of US Enemies in a war zone, something that could actually be classified as treason since it is literally the giving of aid to the enemies of the US during wartime, and what do we hear from the Right? Laughter.

I do believe you described that correctly.
