Does it get dumber than this? LaRouche heckling of AOC retweeted by the Trumps

Fringe group claims it planned 'eat the babies' stunt at AOC town hall (USA Today, Oct. 4, 2019)
A protester who called for Americans to 'eat the babies' to fight climate change at AOC's town hall was revealed as a member of a pro-Trump fringe group (Business Insider, Oct. 4, 2019)

What, did they exhume him? A weekend at Bernie's sort of deal?

One thing we can appreciate from LaRouchies... They manage to unite the entire political spectrum in disdain for LaRouchies.

LaRouche is dead. Long Live LaRouche!

Crazy never dies.

I did kind of get the impression that at least a few far, far right blogger types thought that this was a genuine AOC supporter, or looked to find fault in AOC's response - which was to assume that the person was mentally ill and therefore to not come down very hard on the person.

After the last election cycle and what was learned about generating intentionally fake news, I have to wonder if this may just be a new take on that. Act as if you support this or that candidate, then express wildly hyperbolic opinions based on the most extreme exaggerations of the candidate's stated positions. Then nitpick the candidate's response, or just try to spin it that the fake supporter is a real supporter expressing actual views of the candidate's views. That's what faux news did with this, and the President's own son seems to think that this is an actual AOC supporter: Seems like a normal AOC supporter to me.

I mean, I expect this upcoming election cycle to have more blatantly dishonesty, outright lies, doctored imagery, and other falsehoods on a tsunami-level scale. It worked last time, it is cheap (profitable, even) and easy and there are thousands of willing volunteers to help do it, along with the millions of dupes who spread it unintentionally

Them and the conservative relations on Facebook who swear they are not low-information voters but still think Hillary started birtherism and hasnít been held accountable for her kill count.

Seems like a waste of time and resources. What AOC says and does normally get the Stupid Bitch in Chief and his Magascum pretty worked up already. They don't need to send plants into her meetings.

During a Google search, I found this article, Are the Trolls OK?, from jezebel.com, but why does it appear on Google as if it's from The Onion?

Quote:
LaRouche PAC Behind Bizarre Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Troll
https://www.theonion.com õ are-the-trolls-ok-1838770449
Next, we had a woman at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's town hall, who tried to get ... a very strange assertionóthat we need to eat babies to solve the climate crisis.

Not just bloggers. Tucker Carlson did a whole segment about how AOC did not explicitly say we shouldn't eat babies and can therefore only conclude that eating children is part of her plan to combat climate change.

First, they came for the steaks, and we said nothing.
Then they came for the burgers, and we were silent.
Now, they come for our babies....

Well it isn't like he would find the idea that his racial opponents eat babies a new idea now is it?

That seems a dangerous precedent (and I think it's been done humorously at least a few times). After all, what things can you think of which Tucker Carlson has not explicitly denied? Imagine the sickest and dirtiest perversion you can, and I'll bet Tucker Carlson is not on record as denying them. I won't even print them. Elephants and goats deserve their privacy after all.

Honestly, anyone who takes the Tucker Carlson's White Power Hour seriously is too far gone to give a Puerto Rican the benefit of the doubt anyway.

She handled it well, overall, considering that she was dealing with someone ranting about eating babies and nuking Russia (or whatever) and otherwise sounds like a person having a mental health episode. Calm them down, try to reassure them that things are okay.
