I was going to make this just for Truthers, but when I think about it, it'll just make my point even better if I allow debunkers to participate as well.

I am going to post several pictures of molten metal. I want each of you to, without checking the image's source, to guess which metal is in each picture.

Ready? Here we go!

First one:

Second one:

Third one:

Fourth one:

Fifth one:

Answers (no cheating!):

1: ɹǝddoɔ

2: ɹǝʌןıs

3: ןǝǝʇs

4: pןoƃ

5: ǝzuoɹq

6: ɯnuıɯnןɐ

It might also be fun to list the melting points of these metals

1. 1100C
2. 970C
3. 1500C
4. 1080C
5. 1000C
6. 680C

In all fairness none of those photos are taken in broad daylight.

1. Thermite
2. Thermate
3. 3" rebar on 4' centers
4. Dustified concrete
5. Pyroclastic flow
6. Depleted uranium nuclear weapon under assembly.

They are all photographs of molten deuterium.
Were you trying to trick us?
I claim first prize for being the first to jump to such a conclusion.

Number four is "plob"? What the hell kind of metal is "plob"?

And as for that last one... wnuiwnje? That's not even a word! Who are you trying to fool?

1.steel
2.stainless steel
3.more steel
4.thermite and steel
5.thermite, spam and steel
6.thermite, spam, spam, spam, bacon and steel

This is a very good OP. Hell I'm a metallurgist and I could only get the copper, steel and gold ones (and I'm probably going on the equipment for gold) but the others would be pure guess work (which I'm not surprised by) just like those people at ground zero who thought they saw molten metal.

I took my guesses based primarily on pour (ladle) size, size of molds, and other equipment cues. I worked safety in a high silicon iron/stainless steel foundry.

Actually, I could be wrong on every one of my guesses though.

And it's precisely that kind of experience that is required to get them right as I believe you did. I'm an aerospace bod and don't have that sought of foundry experience. Unless those people who noted "molten metal/steel" at ground zero have close to someone with your level of experience then they won't know their elbows from their asses.

also note that he based his guesses on the equipment being used, not on any features of the metal itself, his experience would be useless in identifying metal at GZ

All of my guesses were wrong, but I think it's worth mentioning that South Seas cannibals refer to humans as "Long Pig."

Well funnily enough of the ones I could check on the only one I got right was steel, but to be fair I was basing it on the equipment more than the appearance of the metal.

it might have been a little more fun to change the file names to thermite1.jpg chemtrail3.jpg, etc.

without looking at filenames or host sites I got 1, but that is because I answered Bronze for every 1 :p

I just have to say I disagree with this thread somewhat.

Steel and Aluminium were the only metals that would have been found in the GZ debris pile in any significant quantity, and under direct sunlight I could easily distinguish between molten aluminium and molten steel, as I am sure most people could.

The obvious candidate in my mind is glass. There was also a lot of glass at ground zero, it melts before steel, but when molten it's a heck of a lot brighter and more yellow than aluminium.

If there really were "rivers of molten" glowing yellow stuff, I think it was probably glass.

i think some areas could have produced large amount of copper, but glass is certainly another possibility
