I just finished and posted this video explanation of my findings:
http://www.veoh.com/videos/v14831085ACnQG4Rt

It's my best video yet, and based on findings from last year:
http://frustratingfraud.blogspot.com/2007/10/how-citgo-video-contradicts-north-side.html
John Farmer is the god father of this shadow, for me, first tipping me off to see it in the Citgo video. From there it's all original work.

I posted the video here for Dick Eastman:
http://frustratingfraud.blogspot.com/2008/07/choke-on-this-dick-eastman.html

Does anyone disagree about what's shown here, or is this the shadow of Flight 77 at the correct spot/heading/altitude/time to impact the light poles and building at about 530 mph? Anyone want to agree in principle but critique the methods or any details? Etc...

Great job CL. As it happens I'm gearing up to take on the Pentacon boys and I've been reading a lot of your blog posts. You make a compelling case indeed for that shadow being Flight 77 and thus the plane is clearly South of the Citgo. Fascinating stuff indeed and I thought the Citgo footage didn't show anything.

It shows everything it can, as well as it can. :)

You will be well armed for your futile battle against the black knight. Even if you hack him into tiny pieces, the pieces will scream "military deception proven!" Burn them to ash and the ashes will drift on the wind and get in your ears whispering "further proof ... subpoenas." The black knight always triumphs!

Keep this, and insert your favorite flesh wound moment from the battle.

No kidding? :D

That's nice work, CL.

Shortly after the Pentacon came out I hypothesized that the shadow of 77 might have passed north of the Citgo, thus possibly accounting for some of the witness confusion. Alas, the calculations (which came out the same as yours with regard to the shadow's path, not surprisingly) didn't support the notion. I didn't pursue it any farther than that.

Very impressive that the timing and the position both work out. That in turn might help pin down more details of the altitude of the flight path in the final seconds.

Respectfully,
Myriad

Sorry, I had to.

Good Job, CL! Not much to work with there at all.

I wonder if there is a way to enhance those dots with more sophisticated equipment? Anyone know a way?

Tell us more.

When James and I started SLC we were just feeling our way around the "movement". Like everybody else (I suspect) we quickly learned that certain segments were considered too nutty even within the movement. Most notably the no-planers but also increasingly the Pentagon missile theorists, and the Pod People. So we mostly ignored those theories in favor of the "credible" theories. But as time went by I realized that I was accepting a false dichotomy. So I started pointing out that there was no significant difference between the no-planers and the rest of the movement; that DRG and Dylan Avery are no-planers when you really listen hard to what they say. But still, I had integrated the idea that there are theories not worth debunking, and so when the PentaCon came down the pike and virtually everybody agreed it was crazy (as were its creators), I wrote it off quickly.

No more. I've decided that I'm going to analyze the movement without segregating theories into "sane" and "nutty". In that regard, I am planning on reviewing the major no-planer movies and the PentaCon. I'm even going to start paying more attention to Killtown's work as well.

To my surprise, I'm finding that to be quite a bit more work than I anticipated; I've been reading a lot of CL and Arabesque; going to have to read some of their sources, especially Jim Hoffman. As usual, I am awed at the effort that has been expended on both sides of this topic.

Nice work, CL. I finally got home and was able to view the video (aircard just doesn't do the trick very well on the road).
From the quality of the video, it is really hard to pick out the shadow, but the accompanying analysis seems very thorough and concise, and makes it easy to understand.

One minor criticism for CL. When you show the camera locations on the canopy about 57 seconds in, it is very hard to spot #4. Several of the other cameras are in primary colors, but for #4 you used a pastel blue, which is hard for the eye to pick out.

Surprising how people like Hoffman are not able to analysis the data they collect, but make up false ideas and speed ahead to the next faulty conclusion, clearly debunked with their own data. If you can weed out their failed analysis you can use their own data to expose hearsay and failed ideas. Many times the failed conclusions of Hoffman include the data and evidence references to make the correct conclusion. The 9/11 truth movement lacks the ability to connect the right dots to the correct conclusions.

I have been somewhat doubtful for some time of your identification of the "shadow", as the two black splotches looked more like noise in the video and less like a 757 shadow. But your analysis at the end of the video has persuaded me that it is quite viable as a hypothesis, and made me notice that it wasn't just two black splotches but some darker shading in between, and another black splotch on the right.

I still would like to try my hand at cleaning up the non-shadow video images with Registax -- which successfully eliminated noise and distortion in the Doubletree and security cam images of the Pentagon attack. In the case of the Doubletree video, the view as a whole was noisy and poles appeared wiggly in any one frame, whereas the stacked image (based on 536 individual frames) cleared up the view dramatically:

doubletree2afterjw4.jpg

Although it wouldn't clear up that single frame of 3fps video where the "shadow" appears, it could help improve the quality of the view of the background of camera #4 nonetheless. I still lack the full resolution version of the Citgo video however; the torrent link on Farmer's website doesn't work for me (no seeds?).

Let me say I've noticed this, your desire to not tackle straw men, and I respect it.

Okay. It's a little backwards from how I saw it - at first I knew it was flat wrong but maybe based on something... but first you see one distortion (north side claim taken at expense of impact claims), then another (they drew Paik's line wrong), then another (Turcios is recorded doing different stuff but they believe him anyway), then another... flat out lies appear on inspection, everywhere ... it's like when you see an ant and then another.... it takes a while to realize you're on an ant hill. Now I'm convinced this is a sick game where they want to be debunked.

I'm trying to quit cause they make it so easy and aggravatingly fun, like a video game. You can take my spot if you like.

I'm even going to start paying more attention to Killtown's work as well.
Now people will say you've just got too much time on your hands.

To my surprise, I'm finding that to be quite a bit more work than I anticipated
Then you're doing it wrong. ;) Just kidding, I'm not sure what your goals and methods are.

I've been reading a lot of CL and Arabesque; going to have to read some of their sources, especially Jim Hoffman. As usual, I am awed at the effort that has been expended on both sides of this topic.

Get ready to be shocked and awed as your own energy joins it. :) My sources for CIT distortions are CIT's videos. That's key. Anything else, I either cited it right or didn't, but you can ask. Again, it's been done, I don't think it needs done again, but I had to have my spin and won't begrudge you yours. I'll probably follow it too, at least partly.

oops, submitting now.

Indeed. The shape itself is counter-intuitive. There are the additional spots visible but all you really see is two dots. It didn't look right at first, but I never thought it was random. Noise is random, it recurs at some complex interval or something, in different spots. It's like freckles. This is more like a giant lone tumor. I did wonder if it was random, but right at that time and spot... no, probably not. Perspective, pronged shape of a 757, road topography, and low resolution explain it quite well.

That is a handy gizmo, and useful. I was originally worried that the light poles had gone wiggly from the DU warhead's EMP, but this helps clear things up. :)

I'd consider helping out, but I'm no good with torrent stuff and have too little time and inclination to learn now. I have lots of stills of varying resolution I could share (i still have your email addy), but somehow never got a clean extract like farmer did. The frame in question is available at my site the best it gets. It's still not great. Lemme know if I can help, I'd be happy to see a cleaned up view.

Good idea. While no amount of facts or logic will ever change these people it will be helpful to the lurkers, newbies and other readers who don't realize how delusional they really are.

Ace Baker's post-Hardfire meltdown and Aldo's current ravings on your blog about "fooled firemen" and planted bodies/DNA are good examples of what happens when a little light is spread on their nonsense.

Sorry for the inconvenient bump, but could the 1 to 1.5 truthers who buy the NoC nonsense please (competently) address this video.

I don't want "Citizen [sic] Investigation Team" to have to go all the way out to Arlington and pester more witnesses.

Send me a pm with a mailing address and I'll mail you a copy. Just let me know if you want VHS tape or DVD. In the meantime, I do have a HQ wmv at AAL77.COM.

Welcome back Adam!

Hey, now I'm back! For all, this monkey is the guy who looked for the shadow and first saw it and showed me. That's smarts, beyond sign language even. I merely appointed myself the shadow's agent from there on. Us gubmint shills gotta stick together. :D

I was hoping CIT would take a stab at this. After their laughable response to Reheat's paper, I guess they figured out their "critiques" did more harm than good.

But since you've been gone, you haven't missed much. PFT started an enemies list.
Turbofan got banned for sending a vile PM to Bobert.
More crap about the C-130.
Virtually nothing about the elusive "flyover".
pffft spent their christmas making this gem.

I'm back.
TheLoneBedouine (crazy Craig, some think) is banned.
CIT has an enemy list as well. I'm on neither :(

Yes, but you are the NWO shadow agent. So you are back from taking care of that Flight 3407 problem I see :D
