AIMEE (Her Mother Vanished on May 14, 2002): That's all I want is for--for her to come back, for--in--in one way or the other. You know, if she has passed on, we need to bring her home.

(Announcements)
...
WILLIAMS: Oh, girlfriend, I'm going to--it's--it's going to be--it'll be crazy.

Well, Jan Sharp vanished months before her daughter's wedding and now her husband is charged with--is charged with the murder and the family wants answers. And this happened right while they were planning the wedding. Take a look at this.

AIMEE: My mom was a--a really caring person. She was really loving, giving. She, you know, always--always had a way of--of making everything better, making people laugh. She was my best friend. She's been missing since May 14th of last year.

Unidentified Woman #4: How much do I miss my daughter? Very much. I--I miss her every day. It's been a year since I've seen her. I just want the truth.

AIMEE: My mom and I were planning my wedding. It was to take place December 13th. We decided to postpone the wedding and I just didn't feel comfortable, you know, having a wedding without her there. That's all I want is for--for her to come back. For--in--in one way or the other. You know, if she has passed on, we need to bring her home.

WILLIAMS: Please welcome Jan's daughter Aimee to the show. Welcome her.

You were right in the middle of planning your wedding. And--and how many months away was your we--was your wedding date?

AIMEE: It was December 13th of last year, so about six months or so. What I'm really looking to find out is if--if you know the whereabouts of her remains or any evidence that we'll find?

Ms. BROWNE: Has anybody gone into the--or under the house or lower part of the house or whatever?

AIMEE: They did search under there with--with the--the lights and the probes.

Ms. BROWNE: Oh, big deal with the lights. I--I'm telling you she's around the property. She's under the property, around the property.

AIMEE: Do you--do you think we'll ever find any evidence that will...

Ms. BROWNE: Yeah, but I'm telling you they really should comb under the house or the lower part of the house.

AIMEE: And is--is she OK? I mean, can you see her or...

Ms. BROWNE: Oh, yeah, she made it to the other side, but she wants you to quit stalling.

AIMEE: A--stalling with what?

Ms. BROWNE: Marriage, you know.

AIMEE: Is there anybody with her at all?

Ms. BROWNE: There is someone with the name of John. There's also somebody by the name of Aimee, whoever that is, somebody by the name of Carol and then a Shirley. So there's a whole bunch. I don't know who all these people are, but there's a whole bunch.

AIMEE: And so you--you think that looking underneath the house, not--not outside or--or anywhere?

Ms. BROWNE: Underneath.

AIMEE: OK.

Ms. BROWNE: Well, for one thing, I'll tell you what was suspicious. Everything was washed down too clean.

AIMEE: OK. And they--they found her car down in the Folsom area. It's--anything that's leading you to how that would have...

Ms. BROWNE: No, that's...

AIMEE: ...appeared there?

Ms. BROWNE: ...to throw everybody off.

AIMEE: OK.

(That is a brief excerpt from the show and the complete transcript can be purchased here.)

I believe the transcript spelled the last name wrong. It should be "Jan Scharf" not "Jan Sharp." All the details, date she went missing, the suspect, and daughter's name (Aimee Bautista) all match press accounts of Scharf.

First, the police had Jan's estranged husband Glyn Wolfgang Scharf in custody at the time of this reading. The next year he pled not guilty, but in 2004, he was convicted of murder without giving details of where Jan's body might be and without police finding her body.

In 2003, Browne told Aimee "yeah" her mother's body would be found.

In 2007, Glyn Wolfgang Scharf, while in prison on murder, killed himself. That article explained:

Prison suicide deepens mystery: Wife's body still missing after man kills self in cell.
Sacramento Bee
May 10, 2007
Byline: Christina Jewett

May 10--A man convicted of killing his wife but leaving no trace of the crime has committed suicide in prison, officials said, likely taking a secret with him to the grave: where the body of Jan Scharf is buried.
...

In the end, what use was Browne to this murder? Do cases like these get factored in to her "87% accuracy rating"? You can read more on this case at charleyproject.org.

QG, I already found this story and months ago. I chalked it up to "unknown" and posted about it on the forum.

"Jan Scharf- CA woman goes missing, her husband whom she was divorcing eventually charged with the murder, never reveals where her body was, daughter appears to ask where prior to the trial, I suspect to strenghten the case against him because the articles say the prosecution was focusing on trying to locate it as evidence.

Sylvia says it's still on the property. Yes, in or around the house where the poor woman lived, which was already searched through and through.

Needless to say, the body was never found. The husband also commited suicide in prison without revealing what he did with it.

So much for psychic powers."

Here's a case that's pretty similar. Same story- husband kills wife, wife's body is missing, man never reveals what he did to the corpse, daughter/ stepdaughter still looking for it.

(Excerpts from videotape)
TERRISA (Her Mom Was Murdered By Her Stepfather In 1992): I've been watching Sylvia for years and praying that she could help me, tell me where my mom is. I was 17 when she died. My stepdad started to hit her. It started outside. He was on top of her, beating her. He drug her in the house, in front of my little brother and sister, and pulled her up--up the stairs by her hair.
My little brother and sister heard her scream and heard her stop screaming. Opened up the bathroom door, and she was laying on the floor, and I couldn't get her awake. And she was bleeding, and she was bruised. And I kept crying, 'Mommy, wake up, wake up,' and she wouldn't wake up. The next morning, my stepdad took the two little ones to the baby-sitter, and I never saw my mom again.
I hate him, and I just want him to tell the truth. Tell me where he put my mom. Several times we've asked him, and he says that she's still alive. He didn't do anything to my mom. I just want her arms around me, tell her--to just tell her I love her. I just want my mom back.
(End of excerpts)
WILLIAMS: Please welcome Terrisa to the show. Terrisa.
How has this been for your family, and especially your younger brothers and sisters now living without their mom?
TERRISA: It's been terrible. Ten years now w--and wi--and without my mom.
WILLIAMS: He was convicted...
TERRISA: Yes.
WILLIAMS: ...and sentenced to?
TERRISA: First--first-degree murder, and he was sentenced 40 years in prison. It was called the hard 40. He's not eligible for--for parole for 40 years.
WILLIAMS: For 40 years.
Ms. BROWNE: Is there a cistern or septic tank near where you are?
TERRISA: There was up where they used to live at, up by the property.
Ms. BROWNE: That's where she is.
TERRISA: On the property?
Ms. BROWNE: In the--in the septic tank or the cistern.
TERRISA: Because there was a--their house was built on top of mines and...
Ms. BROWNE: And there's deep...
TERRISA: ...there's holes and water. And...
Ms. BROWNE: Exactly. That's where she is.
TERRISA: See, the police took cadaver dogs up there to look for her up there, and they couldn't find her.
Ms. BROWNE: But let me tell you something--what I do know, because I work with a lot of police cases. If there's a lot of water, and even though e--the lady before was talking, dogs can't always smell in water. They'll tell you that. Water neutralizes the scent.
WILLIAMS: They can smell up to the edge, but...
Ms. BROWNE: Yeah, that's right. They can't get down that deep. Do you see what I mean?
TERRISA: Yes.
Ms. BROWNE: But, thank God, she was gone right away. Do you know what I mean? She was gone that night, and I'm glad he got hard 40. He should have got hard 400, but...
WILLIAMS: Four hundred.
Ms. BROWNE: Yeah.
WILLIAMS: Yeah. I was going to say, 40 years...
TERRISA: I have another question. My aunt passed away a couple years ago, and my daughter passed away a couple months after my mom did.
Ms. BROWNE: Oh, my God.
TERRISA: Are they together?
Ms. BROWNE: Yes. Was the daughter heart-shaped face and sort of--not--not round eyes like mine, but more puppy dog sort of--yeah, 'cause she's with--now who is the--the small woman with the kind of curls?
TERRISA: That would be my aunt.
Ms. BROWNE: Yeah, 'cause they're together, both of them.
TERRISA: Oh, thank you.
Ms. BROWNE: Yes.
WILLIAMS: Yes, ma'am, you had a question for Sylvia.

I tried every possible keyword and still haven't been able to find it. QG, could you do me a favor and have a go at it?
