Obama's 500+ Entourage for G20 Summit!!!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009...n-visit-uk-g20

More than 500 officials and staff will accompany the president on his tour this week - along with a mass of high-tech security equipment, including the $300,000 presidential limousine, known as The Beast. Fitted with night-vision camera, reinforced steel plating, tear- gas cannon and oxygen tanks, the vehicle is the ultimate in heavy armoured transport.

Damn! That's more than Calvin Broadus'!!

Ha! I get it! Because they're both black!

I wonder what other silly things he will do that we normally associate with famous black stereotypes? This should provide us with much humor!

Another story

Quote:
Ever feel guilty about over-packing on your travels? George Bush will make you feel better.

The United States President, who arrived in Sydney last night, brought not one Jumbo jet, but three, as well as another two aircraft that carry aircraft. The President's Jumbo has a back-up, and the back-up has a back-up.

Air Force One can jam enemy radar, and radar-guided missiles, and is equipped with flares to avoid heat-seeking missiles.

The Jumbos are carrying 700 of the President's closest friends, including a doctor, nurse, personal chef and four cooks.

They are also carrying advisers, and it is clear the President will not be short of advice.

His entourage includes 50 White House political aides, 150 national security advisers and 200 specialists from other government departments.

POTUS, as he is known in Secret Service jargon (President Of The United States), is getting by with a mere 250 protective agents.

Unfortuantely, this new meme is entrenched in racism. It's Fox News' "Obama Baby Mama" all over again.

Well, a white conservative, anyway. Apparently when a white Democrat does it, he looks like Snoop Dogg.

Ah, now I see why applecorped thought that there was a valid comparison between the two men: they have both been nominated for a Grammy.

However, as Obama has won (twice) and Mr Dogg has not, it seems to me that Obama deserves a bigger entourage. Also, his pals, or "homies" as I believe that they are technically known, can help him out with his latest venture: being President of something called "the USA" (which I presume to be some sort of record label).

And that is about the size that every president's entourage is.
I have no doubt if I wanted to search I could find that during the Bush Adminsitration somebody posted a similiar thread about the size of Bush's entourage.

Now that's an interesting question. Just out of curiosity, I challenge you to find this thread's Bush equivalent. Not that I think it would prove anything, but it might be an interesting juxtaposition.

I'd try it myself except I'm about to head off.

And I have little doubt that you would be wrong. A simple search of the politics forum with the words "bush" and "entourage" yields about 10 threads, and none of them are as you described. BDS is an over used diagnosis.

This is a nice gem from Nov. of 2003 that comes up with the above search. Guess the poster.

Still, no apparent rapper comparison that I can see.

It was the first response I got when searching for a large entourage. It could've been Eminem or Weird Al for that matter, but it was Snoop.
