Haha, I didn't know that comments were still enabled there (I disable them for my videos). One looney-tune wrote,
"After 30 minutes it is quite clear that alot of money and research has gone into producing this hit piece. Undoubtedly funded by Silverstein."
That's hilarious because the video couldn't
be any more crude or amateurish in production value. It was the first video I've ever made, was shot with a point-and shoot still camera, and the software I used, iMovie 3, is famous for being one of the worst pieces of crap Apple's ever produced, and one of the worst video editing tools anyone's produced (I didn't know that at the time). Last week a guy in France emailed to ask if I had, uh, higher resolution video clips available, because he wants to produce a translated version of one of my videos. I don't.
I didn't purchase better video editing software because I had a policy of spending as little money as possible on my "debunking" activities. That was in part because I had to take Saturdays off to confront the creeps at the WTC site, and Saturdays are the most lucrative days in the NYC tourist biz. I was losing a large part of my weekly earnings by being there. It was also because I wanted to show that no money is
needed to expose the lies of the 9/11 deniers. All that's needed is the ability to comprehend written and audiovisual material. My total expenditures for my 2006 debunking activities (excluding time off work and subway fare) was about $25.
Some truthers accused me of editing hours of footage in order to show only the worst truther behavior at Ground Zero. Nope. I shot a total of 14 minutes of video over two days. "The Ground Zeros" is an
accurate portrayal of the idiocy I faced from most of the participants each time I went there.*
I take issue with the goal of the OP, which seems to be to collect videos of the
worst truther behavior and edit them down into something even more damning. Hammering away at the point that "lay" 9/11 street protesters and internet denizens are often real kooks who behave reprehensibly will – correctly, IMO – lead to accusations of "cherry picking."
I think it
is important to show that many of the craziest – and most popular – truther claims are propagated by the
"best" of the truthers, such as Richard Gage, Steven Jones, David Ray Griffin, Gordon Ross, Kevin Ryan, Anders Bjorkman, Jim Hoffman, etc. These people claim expertise in these matters, yet they are demonstrably, mind-blowingly, incompetent and dishonest. That's why I made my video "
World Trade Center Not a Demolition," which is the only video of mine to which I regularly refer people.
