The UN's Agenda 21?

Right about... here.
OK, someone 'splain this to me. More and more I'm seeing mention on message boards about the United Nations's evil Agenda 21 plan for world domination, the seizure of our precious bodily fluids, and I dunno, cookies. From Wikipedia,

Agenda 21 is an action plan of the United Nations (UN) related to sustainable development and was an outcome of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development (UNCED) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is a comprehensive blueprint of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the UN, governments, and major groups in every area in which humans directly affect the environment.

This is leading to comments like this in the local paper:

The grant money is part of the implementation of United Nations Agenda 21 and its insidious infusion into every aspect of our nation and our lives, and represents creeping (although at a rapid pace) elimination of private property rights and our freedom.

Who's driving this particular gem, and what exactly do they see as the end product of Agenda 21?
 
They haven't thought far enough ahead to work out what the end product is. This is the same "it must be an attempt to own my stuff, as that's what I would do with power" tosh and piddle that is claimed about the UN, EU and Bilderbergs. I suppose it could often stem from a blatant misunderstanding, but the boring truth wont sell papers.

Basically it is morons who think that any regulation to promote developments that are environmentally friendly are the path to a rigidly controlled command economy where everyone is told exactly where they can live, work and love.

Um, Larry Flynt in an US Flag diaper might make things a little... lively. Banning of flags under some circumstances can be iffy. Or not.

Seen the latest bikes? These two wheelers are gas-powered, electric-powered, slick or made by your shade tree mechanic.

One was powered by a car's battery. Another sported a solar array where kids used to clip their books over the back wheel. Solar bike had a motor too powerful for the solar array. The array was for cell phones and iPods.

Then there are the powered scooters. Much more common around my neighborhood as an electric/gas bike can cost several hundred dollars. Electric and gas motors obviously in past lives had no idea they'd be sitting on a skateboard with a pair of unmatched handlebars.

Even the newfangled twisted flourescent bulbs aren't safe. They are probably in the orbs. I know I stuff mine in lamps that are old old old. There's no clue what's lighting the thing until you look.

There is a slight issue with Agenda 21. The kids got a hold of it.
 
Those people who talk about this "Agenda 21" stuff are obviously nuts. We would have heard about it from the TV if it really existed. Nobody said anything about it on American Idol all last season, so you can rest assured that it's all just scare tactics.

Wait a minute. What's the big idea? Just what are you trying to sell me, brother? Are you trying to tell me that the TV and U.S. government lies to us?

Why, that's ridiculous. Everybody knows that the TV people and U.S. government are the most honest folks around. Just look at them. They wear suits, make lots of money, and are famous! You can't have that kind of success in life without always being truthful.

All my favorite TV shows and movies say so!
 
Yeah, Springhall, to all those not yet acquainted sees the world in a very bizarre black-and-white way. Either you buy into psychotic conspiracy theories (Holocaust denial, 9/11 inside job rubbish, this waste of time lunacy etc) or you believe anything and everything that's on TV. Also, everyone is American in his world, because he thinks those with the ability to dismiss nonsensical, lacking in evidence crapfests like this believe "the US Government", apparently implying we are all under the thrall of a government that covers a relatively small amount of the developed world.

It is of no surprise that losers like SHC are unaware of all the research that exists outside television or newspapers.

Gosh I find your argument compelling, and will for some reason forget any research into other sources I have performed that STILL fails to support you crazy fantasies.

From now on, when I look into a subject I will no longer trouble myself with evidence or common sense, I will just ask if the guy I don't know, whose opinion I don't care about, might think the US Government or Media tells lies.

I will have to change then since I get all my information from youtube and internet blogs
There I learn that the UN is a satanic creation of world jewry bent on OneWorld Government

If that was not true it would not be there

Btw, people where I live are very concerned about this. They have speakers at churches to warn people to get ready to defend themselves against the eventual attempt by the UN to take over the US.

You may have heard about that judge in Texas who wants more money for the TX National Guard so they can defend themselves if Obama gets re-elected and hands over US sovereignty to the UN, which would of course spark a civil war -- it's all part of the same CT.

The Alabama legislature has gone so far as to pass a law "nullifying" Agenga 21.

It might seem laughable, but the thing is, when people are convinced that stuff like this is happening, they can go off the rails and get violent.

It's entirely possible that people could die because of this particular CT, just like people died when a guy who was convinced that the government was coming for his guns decided to shoot up the Holocaust Museum in protest.
