Can TOBS Defeat Radical Islamic Terrorists?

TOBS is an acronym for my Theory of Body Signals, which I've posted on several other forums. Simply put, God communicates with us via "Body Signals" which manifest as itches, muscular twitches, pulses, pains and cramps on various parts of the body.

For instance, let's say I think an evil thought. As the thought runs through my mind, I get a muscular twitch on my left leg. Then I think a good thought and I get an itch on my right thigh.

With God's help over decades, I've managed to crack the code. Here are some of my findings:

Right side of the body symbolizes Good
Left side of the body symbolizes Evil

Legs = Thoughts
Arms = Actions

Right ear = God's Mercy
Left ear = God's Justice

Cheeks = "God didn't say that"
Nose = Choose

So let's say I'm a radical Muslim intent on blowing up a crowded marketplace. As I strap on a bomb underneath my clothing, I think of the great reward in paradise that Allah has waiting for me. Immediately my left cheek muscles start having a violent spasm, indicating that Allah didn't say that. I disregard my cheek spasm at first, but it keeps going until finally I scratch it.

Now if I knew the TOBS code, I would easily figure out that Allah doesn't justify terrorism or jihads. So I'm spreading the TOBS code in hopes that my Muslim friends around the world will be persuaded to truly submit to Allah and put a stop to jihads and terrorism. Once everyone knows TOBS and understands what it means, maybe we can finally have world peace, as people everywhere understand God's will.

This is really interesting. I suggest you pitch your idea to a medical professional and see what they think before bringing it to a wider audience.

The answer to your question is "No".

By the way, if you were right about these so called "body signals" coming from God, then I hope that you realize that you would be the first person in all of human history to show that there definitely is God that us mere humans can communicate with. Which, at the very least, would be an extremely remarkable achievement.

No, I've just seen it before. This guy has spammed his "theory" at a number of different places on the internet, including a message board (that I used to frequent) about a year ago, which is why I recognized it.

Well, if you actually can communicate with God, then I suggest that you ask him for the next set of winning lottery numbers so that you can cash in.

After all, it is the least the old man can do to assist the one person who is going to change the world.

ok, so I'm sitting in a movie theater enjoying mr. mel brooks' Spaceballs and I notice that my left hand's pinky and ring finger have gone numb. I wonder, does this mean something? Then I forget about it until a grocery store clerk tells me to "Watch your ears." I begin watching my body signals and asking God what they meant.

Years pass. Now, decades later I have a 2-page concise key listing all the TOBS. I want to write a book about them

If it requires "faith" then it is not a "discovery", but a "superstition".

"Cuz" if this is predicated upon your personal (and idiosyncratic) development of something in "scripture", it is not based upon any facet of reality.

"If you believed as I believe, you would see why you should believe as I believe..."

Yes, but if the proof is merely that people scratch their arses, it's a less elegant proof than some of the Scholastic versions that have been expounded in the past.

The ears, eyes and general head area seem to be more of a Justice/Mercy dichotomy rather than Good/Evil. Generally, anyway.

I see how this is going to work. Firstly, we've got to convince every jihadist that their god sends them messages by making them itchy, then, we bomb the **** out of the Middle East and north Africa, using itching powder instead of high explosive.

It's got to be worth a shot, hasn't it?

No. No, that's not happening. If you are hearing voices, I suggest you see a mental health practitioner. If you are itching a lot, I suggest you see a doctor for a referral to a skin specialist.

This might backfire. It might actually be God's will to wage holy war by committing acts of terrorism. Your method may play directly into this.

I'm told that God sometimes uses powerful tragedies to accomplish His aims. And some of these Jihadis do seem to be quite religious. Maybe they are already right with God.

Man... I'd hate to find out I had the losing hand here.
