That he is well in touch with the common american republican racist base. Even the New York times is coming out on saying Nazis are good people, look at their recent article about how polite a particular nazi was.

I recently read a science fiction/Lovecraftian horror short story, published in 2016, which mentioned that the US administration had outlawed climate research in 2021. It looks like their prediction may end up being off by a bit.

This bill isn't for them, it is for bigger businesses than them. The small fries should expect to be screwed just like the poor.

I think that it might have been trying to point out that not all Nazis are spittle-flecked and some can present themselves quite calmly, and with a veneer of irony that makes them seem superficially OK until they let on their real views.

It didn't really come out. They also alluded to the fact that what he says online is not so nicely packaged, but they didn't delve into that.

I far prefer the EDL to be the face of fascism. Judging from the group I saw in Manchester*, they are literally knuckle-dragging idiots. Let's just say that they aren't exactly the best advertisement for the genetic superiority of their race. I think that some might have had facial proportions akin to Mumbles' avatar.

Unfortunately there are some who have learned about washing.

You have to give Trump credit for his chutzpah.

He is now saying the tape of him on the Access Hollywood bus wasn't him.

Does he actually believe that anyone will believe that?

Evidence shows that it will be believed by at least 75% of republicans.

Probably not. But then... does it matter ? In a recent opinion poll he was elected as President, even though the tapes where already in the public domain ?

For 15 months he never said it wasn't him. Billy Bush who was fired as a result never said it was false in any way. And now Trump is saying the whole thing was faked.

Trump must view every person as a mark. He thinks that if he serves up feces up for dinner and calls it Foie Gras that everyone will chow down and say 'mmmm...can we have seconds Mr. Trump?'

Un - *********** believable!

Since when has that ever impacted anything? No one cares what he said in the past they only care about what he is saying now. By saying it now it invalidates any past times he accepted saying it. Because now that kind of sexual assault has consequences, but last year, so what he bragged about sexually assaulting women, lots of guys brag about that. Makes him a real mans man and was a selling point to his voters.

I'm not a health professional and refuse to speculate about Trump's mental health. That said, he is beyond a doubt, the all time biggest liar of any US politician that I can ever recall or have ever read about. And he wins that title by a mile.

It's not just the quantity, which is staggering ,but the willingness to do it in spite of the overwhelming evidence.

News reports that Trump called Elizabeth Warren Pocahontas in front of American Indian code talkers being honored. It was met by an awkward silence. May we live in interesting times!

I DON'T believe 2016 Trump said what is in this quote. I can NEVER EVER recall Trump either apologizing for anything or admitting he was wrong about anything. Do you have a link? I'd like to frame it.

Trump includes insults and his celebrity bating during event "honoring" Navajo code talkers.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-h...e-live-stream/

Because it is just more presidential to make it about yourself and your personal feuds than about the people being honored. Obama totally failed at that, making events about the people being honored and not himself, how low class can you get?

Yeah it's hard to comprehend, but it's true. link You have to think back to the flack he was taking when pussy-grabbing went public.

Actually I firmly believe that all major military equipment sold to any countries that might turn hostile or less cooperative should have built-in command access that we could use to turn the equipment off/dead if same occurred. Possibly with certain parts connected to small explosive devices.

Many responsible people have made that suggestion quite seriously. Videos of his interviews and appearances when he was a NY hustler show someone who uses a broader vocabulary, is more knowledgeable and speaks with greater facility vs. the Trump in the White House. Trump's father developed Alzheimer's, which has a hereditary component.

Although I strongly suspect that Trump is senile or otherwise mentally ill, I've also come to wonder if instead he is a "plant" by the Russians specifically assigned to destroy the USA, and that he very much understands this is his job.

I am thinking about Trump's endless efforts to divide Americans politically and socially in every way possible, his policy changes that significantly and immediately weaken the USA (such as his attacks on our allies), and his efforts to undercut the longterm future of our society (e.g. attacks on science, education, and technological innovation while supporting 19th century industries such as coal mining). I've tended to see these as Trump just being ideological driven and incredibly stupid. But perhaps it is intentional.

Trump's presidency is exactly what I would ask for if I were Putin. Even Trump's craziness! What better way to throw the USA into powerless disarray than for the President to release a constant stream of bat-crazy, angry, self-conflicting statements that attack his fellow citizens and our democratic institutions and that read like the train of thought of a deeply emotionally disturbed junior high school student?

Ask yourself this: what has Trump done or said that is likely to actually strengthen the USA as a country and as a society? I can only come up with only a few possibilities and the positive impacts of even these actions are quite questionable.

What if he is the "Manchurian Candidate?"

In a way, that's worse. At least for POTUS. That means he is out of touch with reality.

Source for that is the Failing New York Times, in an article about Trump's support for Moore. No detail on these sources.

Quote:
But something deeper has been consuming Mr. Trump. He sees the calls for Mr. Moore to step aside as a version of the response to the now-famous “Access Hollywood” tape, in which he boasted about grabbing women’s genitalia, and the flood of groping accusations against him that followed soon after. He suggested to a senator earlier this year that it was not authentic, and repeated that claim to an adviser more recently. (In the hours after it was revealed in October 2016, Mr. Trump acknowledged that the voice was his, and he apologized.)

I've thought this too. And then I shiver. I just don't know.
