Meanwhile, the many peoples of the black and Asian diaspora are collapsed into one category each.

Well you can hardly blame Trump supporters for wanting their own dating sites. After all, things don't always go well on the more mainstream sites...

At this point in my life, I know what I'm looking for. My future partner is smart, kind, compassionate, successful and engaged in the world around us. He also leans solidly left. My profile postscript makes that clear. "If you voted for Trump, it's a deal breaker. Please move on."... The morning after my Match profile went "live," my in-box filled. I was shocked to read message after message from pro-Trumpers

Lots of descriptions of dates and email exchanges with Trupsters complaining "Waaa!!! You don't know anything about me". Well, you like neo-nazis. That should be considered a deal breaker right there.

The article also points out that after Trump's inauguration, roughly 60% of liberals were less likely to date a conservative than they were 2 years earlier.

I think its more than just a case of agreement/disagreement. I think the issue here is that what Trump has done is exposed people for what they truly are... Whereas before they had a fig-leaf of respectability, Republican supporters in general and Trump voters in particular are now revealed to be ignorant bigots and con men. I.e. it goes far beyond "agreement" and goes right to personality.

I think there is a world of difference between "I disagree with your ideas of fiscal policy but think you're attractive enough to bone" and "We really have a difference of opinion about whether neo-nazis are fine people, so regardless of how attractive you are we won't be having sex".

and since Trump himself supported a sex offender during his senatorial run,
then it should not be surprising to see a sex offender who is running a Trump matching dating site.

On the one hand we have a very interesting, possibly scandalous story that raises a lot of questions, not the least of which is "With Donnie Johnny and his brood owning about a billion trademarks on the family name, have they licensed these jerks, and if not, why haven't they moved to shut it down or make them change the name?"

On the other hand we have a conservative poster. Alert! Alert! Thread started on stupid conservatives doing stupid things. Alert! Alert! Must belittle. Must belittle. Danger, Will Robinson! Danger.

The Post says they removed the married option.

I think the more interesting questions raised in that article pertain to whether or not the sex-criminal guy is perhaps still associated with the business and may actually be the site owner if I'm connecting my dots, correctly.
 
Back in 2016 someone saw me posting lots of pro-Bernie stuff on facebook and decided to add me to a group that was just Bernie boosters hooking up. If I hadn't seen it I might not have believed it.

It got kind of weird in there after he lost the nomination. Very acrimonious and that was where I first saw the "Bernie-Bro" thing fully bloom.

The thing is that a lot of these niche websites are owned by companies that own a lot of websites and they do not keep the databases separate.
