Referring to Kamala's withdrawal from the race. Which is the case apparently, She CHOSE to withdraw.

The hashtag thing seems to be overzealous PC culture at work ignoring the fact she chose to pull out, as well as that same very force doing every thing it can to drag down the Democrats and keep the Mullet Gopher in for another four.

The Dems need to get their collective **** together fast.

Or it could be a bunch of disingenuous trolls and bots trying to make it a talking point. Like we have seen before.

Twitter isn't real life.

But it's amazing for finding idiotic twatdonkeys braying every possible opinion in a consequence free environment so you always have an on-call example of whatever problem in the world you're already convinced exists really exists.

...She CHOSE to withdraw.

There is no mechanism to FORCE a candidate to withdraw. Every candidate who ever dropped out chose to.

That hashtag has only been used four (4) times in the past week. Do better research.

My guess is that talk radio and conservative forums will try to make it trend. Nothing like a bunch of well-paid talk radio blabberheads to get things going, then try to claim that it is the Dems doing it.

It would hold more water if the GOP wasn't losing their only black Congress person at the end of this cycle.

Maybe if this hastag catches on it can lifted up into the "right wing ******** social media" hall of fame. It could hang up there with greats like #WalkAway, #Blexit, and #ReleaseTheMemo

Saying Kamala Harris chose to withdraw is like saying I chose not to buy a Ferrari.

Harris was going nowhere fast.
And I don't think race was a major factor, she was just plain not a good candidate.

And she will be definenlty in the conversation for the Veep nod.

I wish a couple of other candidates would also see reality and pull out.
Yeah, Tulsi, I am looking at you.

My impression of her, admittedly based on a pretty small sample of TV appearances, was that she is a drama queen. She really didn't impress me.

I've also seen some news articles about campaign staff complaining that they were treated badly. That, if true, would lead me to believe she would not be an effective president, as being able to manage staff well is critical to the success of a president. If you can't run a campaign, I damn sure don't want you running the country. This would also not make me warm and fuzzy about her as a vice presidential candidate. I realize that being black and female makes her attractive as a VP candidate, but, given the age of many of the frontrunners, she could very well end up as President. Not that any of that would lead me to vote for Trump, as "better than Trump" is a mighty low bar.

Why is the right so terrible at meme'ing? I haven't seen a good meme come out of the right ever, and apparently their hashtags reaching the magical number of...4 is considered "trending".

Seriously, I mean, what is the thought process there? "Hurr, hurr, hurr, an award for the entertainment' industry is totally the same as voting for the leader of the free world. Checkmate lib'ruls!!!!"

I consider most political memes to be little better than Chick Tracts, but ones from conservatives seem to be real bad.

I know a number of people here in Sacramento who knew Harris back when she was California's Attorney General, and they pretty much agree with that opinion:She showboated a lot.
Which is not an unforgivable sin, but for whatever she was just not connecting with voters .

I think she is the first of many and the Democratic Candidate herd has entered the stage where there is going to be a lot of culling.

The meme also ignores the fact that primaries are a process in which the pool of candidates is gradually reduced until there is only one left, who may or may not be a person of color. It is thoroughly idiotic and completely unsurprising.

Seeing how the Republicans have never had either a person of color or a woman actually be a presidential nominee while the Dems have had both, this meme particularly fails big time.

They've always had a knack for quickly concluding that a few vague, superficial similarities between two entirely unrelated things (often in a "if you close one eye, tilt your head just so, and kinda let things go out of focus..." sort of way) means they are the exact same thing in all attributes and respects.

From there, it's just a hop and a skip over to "and most people don't know that because it's being hidden from us on purpose(!)" land.

A lot of "Why Black Voters did not support Karlema Harris" articles today.
For me, for the same reason the White SUpporters did not vote for Harris; They just did not find her a good candidate.

The question itself is (seemingly) predicated on the notion that African-American voters are expected to place racial solidarity high on their list of reasons to support a candidate.

Kamala withdrawing has really rocked me. I put everything on her candidacy. I unfriended people over her. I made unconditional support for her a central part of my Tinder profile. I overthrew a central African democracy in her name. Well...I did rage and spit and basically broke a dresser I liked over it anyways.

For months the media has erased her. She dominated two debates, produced detailed policy proposals that ended up being stolen wholesale by Warren (who is now on my "will never vote for her that stealing bitch" list) and just had loads of enthusiastic support wherever she did go. Then Steyer steals her voter information database and Bloomberg steals her campaign staff forcing them to concoct these ridiculous stories of discord in order to seal the deal for all that vacuous New York money.

I'm just beside myself. The Democratic party is a party of people of color and they just railroaded their one best chance of mass turnout. And even worse are all the Bernie supporters that danced on her grave yesterday screaming at us that she was evil, basically Hitler, and for that Bernie is also on my never vote list. I'm now on team Biden for reasons of spite, which I'm big on, if nothing else. **** those Twitter jerks. She was the best damned candidate and the insanely long campaign cycle combined with the media erasure to prop up white candidates and billionaire ego stroking nonsense prevented her from ever getting a solid footing.

Why is it that people who make fun of my worldview never seem funny to me?

I think this helps explain some of the highly dubious observations that follow.

trending things reach many people so it has effects politically so address the underlying issue or don't.

The underlying issue is that there is no underlying issue. It has nothing to do with Democrats wanting a white candidate or a male candidate or an exceedingly old candidate. It has nothing to do with that because "Democrats": a) are not a unified, single body; and b) haven't actually voted for a candidate yet.

It's not the Democratic Party's fault that Harris' campaign leadership was a mess from the beginning. Even her seasoned, professional campaign organizers being whiplashed by the ever-changing whims and amateurish political vacillations of Harris' sister. And it's not the Democratic Party's fault that Joe Biden has had half his damn life to build relationships with top campaigners and big-money donors, sapping all of the resources that would have otherwise been available.

But, to address the underlying issue, you making up an underlying issue does not actually create an underlying issue.

Assuming you're being serious, I'd chalk up your outsized opinion of her to you being a Californian. Outside of her home state, she had very low name recognition. She was fighting an uphill battle that many before her had lost. Frankly, until Maya Rudolph played her on SNL, I didn't even know she was running.

But I haven't chosen a candidate yet, so maybe I just can't identify with your anger.

You know, I actually agree with you. The right is usually pretty terrible at meme'ing. But sometime it seems like meme'ing takes up too much of the left's time and energy. They put so much effort into memes they share amongst themselves that they don't take the time to evaluate the underlying arguments (if there even are any).

But I thought this meme was at least good for a snicker (unless it hit too close to home, of course). It's really just a cheap shot - using the knee-jerk meme-ology of the progressive left to show that they're literally Hitler according to their own stupid criteria.

And I'm guessing he didn't get laid a lot since unconditional support for Kamala was part of his Tinder profile.
