10 pieces of Evidence Alternate Realities exist

I really can't see anyone here wasting their time on your clickbait.

Summarise, with words. Preferably coherent ones....

I think, "yt;dw".

I also think it's kind of a low-effort post. What's the video about? Is it a list of experimental observations that support scientific theories about multiverses?

Is it that painfully boring stretch in the middle of Avengers: Endgame where a bald Tilda Swinton tries to explain alternate timelines in terms of Back to the Future?

Five years outside the village, and this is the magic you bring back to us? A hero's journey this is not. Please tell me you at least went into a cave and came back out.

Ok, so this is video, where the person present 10 pieces of evidence for parallel realities(universes). Starting from double-slit experiment, then large hadron collider, then big bang, and then some paranormal stuff, like women who claimed to be from parallel universe, and the like.I encourage you to watch the video, it is only 11 minutes, and come up with your reaction.

There are different interpretations of QM.
The math works, people are free to make up any interpretation that they want, as long as it fits the math.
Some people don't even look at the math, they just make **** up that feels nice.

That's all nice and good, but it doesn't address what is said in video. I encourage to watch it,and to say if there is something to it, or not. But if we start with the premise that this video is '****',then there is nothing to discuss :)

Watch it ,it is only 11 minutes. And guy doesn't appear to be scientist, as I made research on him on Internet. But he talks about double-slit,big bang, large collider, and some paranormal appearences, summarizing them as evidence for parallel worlds. At the end he asks: 'do you think that they are evidence of parallel realities or simply some unexplained phenomena?'

********.

Glad I could be of service to you, is there anything else I can help you with?

If someone believes that quantum mechanics provides evidence of "alternate realities", then they do not understand quantum mechanics. And I don't need to watch a video to say that definitively.

If you are unable to summarise the arguments coherently it is a waste of time.

That's the good point, but in this video he cites evidence from:
1 .Double slit experiment

2. Unexplained artifacts

3.Repeating universes

4.Supernatural activity(meaning, ghosts may be beings from another universes)

5.4th Dimension

6.Large Hadron Collider

7.Dreams(claiming that we visit parallel universes in dreams)

8.The visitor from Taured

9.Lerina Garcia Gordo( woman who claimed to be from another universe)

10.Alter Vu and Mandella Effect

I tried to discuss it on another science forum, posted originally in 'General Science' ,but they moved it to 'Speculations' section

And who is this person, who doesn't understand teh double-slit experiment?

Indeed.

So far the stuff you've listen are not evidence for alternate realities. They are, at best, claims about them, or misrepresented science.

No, I'll not watch your video. Make your case in your own words, please, or link to a _written_ paper on the topic. (note: the list you put above doesn't have any explanation of exactly what you're talking about or how it proves alternate realities).

That's the good point, but in this video he cites evidence from:
1 .Double slit experiment
If he thinks that the double slit experiment is evidence of parallel realities, then he doesn't understand the double slit experiment.

2. Unexplained artifacts
Every single case of an unexplained artifact has been explained, and is not evidence of parallel realities.

3.Repeating universes
What does this even mean?

4.Supernatural activity(meaning, ghosts may be beings from another universes)
Supernatural activity has never been demonstrated under reliable observing conditions.

5.4th Dimension
You mean time? That's nowhere near being evidence of parallel realities.

6.Large Hadron Collider
What about it? It's mere existence is not evidence of parallel realities.

7.Dreams(claiming that we visit parallel universes in dreams)
Dreams are merely what brains do when they are asleep. Anyone claiming that they are more than that is making stuff up.

8.The visitor from Taured
What?

9.Lerina Garcia Gordo( woman who claimed to be from another universe)
I can claim to be the Prince of Persia. It doesn't mean anything. Lerina Garcia Gordo was either delusional or lying.

10.Alter Vu and Mandella Effect
The Mandela Effect is bull, and merely a result of naturally unreliable memory. And I have no idea what Alter Vu is.

I tried to discuss it on another science forum, posted originally in 'General Science' ,but they moved it to 'Speculations' section
That's because there is absolutely nothing scientific in anything you have listed here, except perhaps in the fact that the Large Hadron Collider performs scientific experiments.

I don't need to watch the video to know for certain that it is absolute rubbish. This list is sufficient.

I repeat:
1 .Double slit experiment

2. Unexplained artifacts

3.Repeating universes

4.Supernatural activity(meaning, ghosts may be beings from another universes)

5.4th Dimension

6.Large Hadron Collider

7.Dreams(claiming that we visit parallel universes in dreams)

8.The visitor from Taured

9.Lerina Garcia Gordo( woman who claimed to be from another universe)

10.Alter Vu and Mandella Effect

Of course, some of these points is not science, but paranormal phenomena. And the guy on video is not even scientist, as much as I learned about him

And just a heads up there, OP: with every repetition of "watch the video", many posters become less inclined to do so. Use your words. Maybe some credible articles if you want to get all credible. But argumentum ad YouTubium is a sure sign to be safely ignorable

I repeat:

Did you not read my post? You just threw a bunch of points without explaining what they have to do with alternate realities and how they support the claim.

What does the double-slit experiment have to do with AltUnis? Nothing. Same thing for unexplained artifacts, the Mandela effect, the LHC, or dreams.

What's a repeating universe?

Supernatural activity has not been proven to exist. Ergo it cannnot be used as evidence for anything else.

The 4th dimension is time. It's part of THIS universe.

Someone claiming something is not evidence of anything.

I have no idea who this Taured guy is.

Try harder.

Pretty much none of that is evidence for parallel realities.

Some of it is pretty much the opposite of evidence. "Ghosts" are an explanation for unexplained phenomena, for example. They're not evidence of something else.

This guy is just throwing handfuls of jello at the wall and saying the stains it make as it slides down are realistic portraits of famous rap stars.

I was curious so I did a little bit of minor digging about the man from Taured. The short version is that a guy turned up at a Japanese airport in the 50s claiming to have been travelling from a country called "Taured" which of course doesn't exist. Then he "mysteriously vanished" from a hotel room. As far as I can tell there is absolutely no reason to believe that this ever happened as reported, or that the man ever existed.

Yes, but

If someone believes that quantum mechanics provides evidence of "alternate realities", then they do not understand quantum mechanics. And I don't need to watch a video to say that definitively.

remember what Niels Bohr said!

"If you're not confused by quantum mechanics, that's because you don't understand it."

1111!!!!!11112!

Of course, that means that quantum mechanics can be used to explain everything you want, because no-one understands it. Ghosts? Quantum spirits. Telepathy? Quantum entanglement. Guy from a country that doesn't exist? Many worlds.

It appears to be a work of science fiction. About as real as Midichlorians.

I like how we seem to have skipped from "being from a place that doesn't exist on Earth" to "being from an entirely different reality" as though there aren't an absurd amount of potential other places to be from in this one.

The difference is that in the story, he claims that Taured is the name of his country, and when asked to point to his country on a map, he pointed to Andorra. The story also holds that his passport was issued by the country of Taured.

And of course the story holds that he left no evidence of any of this.

Thank you

I'm glad you don't understand quantum quantities, as shown by your piteous lack of confusion.

Alexander1304 and I are, of course, advanced beings from the belt of orion in a nother universal, where we went to universities and then open up to our own and we would 😀 to whacky walk --

Hey, this guy Otto Kreckt is a lot of fun! He gunna keep up his 👋 and his dog 🐕 is going well I boilerplatz it is very cold 🥛!

As i said earlier, 1111!!!!!11112!

Right, Alexander1304? Hello?

Watched the vid, it's clickbaity nonsense, throwing bits of qm in with bits of cosmology, plus the mandela effect, deja vu and other nonsense.

0 out of 10 for effort.
I do like everetts many worlds interpretation of qm, if they knew what they were talking about they should have went with that.

They would still be wrong though, since the many worlds hypothesis in no way predicts that anything will be able to travel from one world to another.

Short version; The man from Taured is an unverified story about a man who went to an airport to travel home. He told them he was from Taured, has passports and tried to point it out on a map (The story tells it as the location being Andorra)

Airport officials try to sort it out and leave him in a room. When they return he's mysteriously vanished.

Didn't I already say that? :D

As far as I can tell, the repeating universe theory originated with Nietzsche, and it is the idea that after the universe comes to an end, it will start again. Opinions differ on whether the events of the previous universe recur in the new universe or whether it's different. Of course we have no evidence that this is correct, just some mathematical models that we aren't sure are accurate, and wild speculation.

Either way, I can't possibly see how this can be evidence for an alternate reality that objects can move between.

ETA.....or you went back in time and made your comment after seeing mine o.O

There was this sci fi short story, I forget whose, about an author who keeps finding every work of his, as he writes them, already published, or something like that. As far as I remember, that was about time travel, not parallel universes.

This kind of thing definitely belongs in the fiction section, and some of it can be interesting. I love odd stories that twist at reality, but of course they're not real.

That's the good point, but in this video he cites evidence from:
1 .Double slit experiment

Not evidence.

2. Unexplained artifacts

The ones listed have been explained.

3.Repeating universes

Insufficient evidence to make such a claim.

4.Supernatural activity(meaning, ghosts may be beings from another universes)

Nope. Not even close.

5.4th Dimension

The 5th Dimension had better albums.

6.Large Hadron Collider

Science is scary when you don't understand it. Of all the Luddites who flip out over the Hadron not one is a particle physicist.

7.Dreams(claiming that we visit parallel universes in dreams)

Nope, just whishful thinking.

8.The visitor from Taured

Great BS story.

9.Lerina Garcia Gordo( woman who claimed to be from another universe)

There's a guy named Darrel who panhandles at the gas station up the street for Meth money. He says he's from another dimension too. That dimension must suck.

10.Alter Vu and Mandella Effect

Mis-remembering things is common. Also, people got Steven Biko confused with Mandela...or I should say: WHITE PEOPLE got Steven Biko confused with Mandela. People who don't keep up with the news, especially in the 70s and 80s tended to be ignorant. Racists are also ignorant. There might be a correlation.

Of course, some of these points is not science, but paranormal phenomena. And the guy on video is not even scientist, as much as I learned about him

Then why waste your time? Woods Hole does live streaming from their annual expeditions. It's fascinating and it's all real science in real time. There is a lot of great science on Youtube.
