If this is real, Trump, now that he had gotten rid of Fauci, he is taking up with a Dr. Stella Immanuel, who claims she has cured hundreds of those with the virus

She also claims that you get the virus from the spirits of the dead when they are having sex with a sleeping person.

You couldn't make this stuff up.

And Trump, whining that "nobody likes me" is simply pathetic.

He's not replacing Fauci. What he did was retweet a video without bothering to have his people do any research per the usual. It just said what he wanted to hear so he retweeted it...as did Spawn Jr. The moron never learns.

Yeah, superb as it would be for Trump to replace Fauci as head of the CDC with Dr Immanuel, it’s not the case. The group which she has come to prominence via is ‘America’s Frontline Doctors’, and 20 of them had some sort of protest against masks. It seems even that group tried to get Dr Immanuel to calm down a bit.

Basically, it’s allowed Trump and other conspiracy theorists to Teach the Controversy on hydroxychloroquine, as can be seen in our own CT area.

According to mediabiasfactcheck, AFD was founded by Simone Gold (in Canada!), and is linked to if not directly funded by the Tea Party.

Every election season, pollsters ask if the candidates might be "presidential".

That's kind of a nebulous concept, but one thing it most certainly means is that you don't do junk like the highlighted. I find it so disturbing that this man ever got the Republican nomination.

I know. I know. I guess that Donald Trump is in denial about the virus, and I am in denial about the demonstrated failure of American democracy, and yes, I think that the election of Donald Trump represents a real failure, and a very disturbing turn of events for the world. If not corrected this November, I might give up hope for America.

I have dual citizenship with Ireland. Moving looks better and better.

One of the most disturbing traits of Trump is that he just doesn't learn nor does he care to. He makes the same mistakes time after time such as impulsively tweeting without thinking of their consequences or making sure he has his facts correct.

More Crazy Republican Conspiracy Theories.

Yeah, he desperately needs to create and hire a Director of the Department of Don't Do Stupid, but I'm afraid he's to stupid to even know he needs one.

This "video of doctors who oppose masks" is the modern version of the "list of 500 scientists who don't believe evolution" or the "list of 500 scientists who don't accept global warming" or the "list of 500 doctors who oppose vaccinations."

Notice they have one thing in common: they are cranks

This is no different

For the Trump admin?

May I remind you of something in the 8th Amendment "...cruel and unusual punishment.."

Ghost sex? Sex demons with magical spunk? I wouldn't want this lady to treat me medically, but I wouldn't mind looking at her fanfiction. I bet she's got hundreds of pages of fanfic for Buffy. And that she favors Spike over Angel.

Well, THAT Trump press briefing went about as well as could be expected. Just the usual stuff... A couple of questions in and we get fact-checking the US president to his face on national TV, fake doctors, nutbags akimbo, alien DNA, demons, and a Trump storm-out. Let's hope the next series of The West Wing doesn't jump the shark.

I agree but would add that there have never been any serious consequences. His supporters either approve or hand wave it away as unimportant.

And that's why I think it's a failure of democracy if not corrected.

In a world where democracy functioned as intended, he could never have gotten the nomination. In a world where democracy functioned as intended, even as an incumbent president, he couldn't have gotten the nomination for re-election. The Republican Party ought to be dumping this clown and nominating somebody respectable.

What the President of the United States says in his communications with the American people matters. I want a President who rarely if ever "tweets", and when he does so, he puts more thought into it than I put into these posts. He should be saying, "Bob, I'm thinking about endorsing this comment by re-tweeting it. Check it out for me. I want to do it this afternoon." If he did that, the vast majority of people who think demon sex is a source of health problems would be filtered out of his Twitter feed.

And the fact that people vote for this man despite these things indicates we ahve severe flaws in our society. We have met the enemy, and they are us.

I could so go for a sex demon visit about now.

But I guess they only visit in your sleep, and you don't even remember the sex. That seems to not be worth the effort. You get the STDs, but not the fun.

You're only hating on her because she's black !!!!11!!11!11!1!!!!!!!

Unlike President Trump and the GOP who are truly colorblind, the Democratic Party are the racist party who just want to keep people of color on the plantation

And now Trump is labeling CNN as dishonest in their coverage of those crazy-ass doctors. So I guess the most dishonest president in my lifetime is now taking his walking orders from any crackpot that strikes his fancy, or in other words, business as usual.

Nah, he's not nuts.

If I left a note asking the demon to wake me up do you think they would?

You could ask it to wake you up, before you go go, don't leave you hanging on like a yo-yo, you don't want to miss it when you hit that high!

However, he doesn't even consider what they may be.

True...never any serious consequences. But the consequence he has faced is largely public ridicule as with this 'demon sex' video. And we know how he hates being mocked. Other examples of negative consequences are his retweeting of a video with a guy shouting "White Power!" and using the phrase "When the looting starts, the shooting starts" which has a racist origin. True, his base may find both of those a positive thing but he still had to defend himself which he dislikes. All could have been easily avoided. An intelligent person would learn to avoid anything that could be used against them by doing something as simple as having his retweets checked out first. but he's too stupid and narcissistic to do so.

I think he is having trouble dealing with the changing perception of him.

Joe Morgue likes to point out that Trump's primary job, politically, is trolling the left. Joe is right. That was what set him apart from the other Republicans. He would flaunt his political incorrectness. He didn't care about push-back, and his fans loved him for it. All the conservatives wanted low taxes, high military spending, and pro-life Supreme Court justices, so he delievered what they wanted, with an extra helping of in-your-face attitude toward the American left.

And that was all well and good, until he was actually expected to do something. The pandemic changed things. Now, people were looking for him to do something, and all he had was his trolling. Pre-pandemic, if a kook like this doctor said something he and/or the right wanted, they would revel in the media circus pointing out she was a kook. Now, it's more serious. They expect something from Trump, and they aren't getting what they want, and they realize that this attitude isn't some sort of act. He isn't just telling libs to suck it by elevating a kook to prominence. He seems to really believe it, and that's not working for him now.

I just hope it last through November.

I imagine a sex demon would look at Trump, consider the effort it would take to shift his gelatinous mass to access his wedding tackle and decide it wasn't worth the effort.

That explains why Trump has no gynecological problems.

Succubus or incubus? Don't be shy, you're amongst broad-minded people.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Succubus
A succubus is a demon in female form, or supernatural entity in folklore (traced back to medieval legend), that appears in dreams and takes the form of a woman in order to seduce men, usually through sexual activity
"Incubus" being in the male form, naturally or unnaturally, to the narrow-minded.

I think the recent polls show there have been very serious consequences for Trump.
Of course 35 to 40% of the popluation will support him. It's a given that any major party candidate will get 35 to 40% of the vote. It's the undecided and those who have no party loyalty who dedice elections, and Trump is not doing well with them.

This is difficult to wrap my brain around. The political forum is mostly about Trump.

And now, associated with Trump news, we are discussing alien DNA and Demon Semen.

Though odd, it isn't really that odd when it comes to him.

I've gotten pretty cynical over that last few years - I hope you're right.

That daft woman is threatening to set God on Facebook :
Hello Facebook put back my profile page and videos up or your computers with start crashing till you do. You are not bigger that God. I promise you. If my page is not back up face book will be down in Jesus name.

I don’t think He is going to give her much backup.
