Jenny McCarthy: Indigo Mom.

Jenny McCarthy was on Jay Leno's show tonight and she was wearing a shirt that read "Indigomoms.com." I wondered if it meant what I thought it meant, so I just stopped by her website. Yep! She's into the indigo nonsense. Her site says that her 3 year old is a crystal child. It also says that, "Most children today are Indigos." So if everyone is above average, then no one is.

My name is Nicole Pigeault. My work as an Angel Therapist/Biofeedback Stress Reduction Specialist accelerates you to move beyond your personal limitations through the merging of spiritual and scientific vibrational energy. The culmination of this sacred blending results in increased mind-body wellness and a life filled with joy, prosperity and harmony.

Let me explain Quantum Radiance. This practice combines the Quantum SCIO and Angel Therapy. The Quantum SCIO is an energetic health system and is based on Quantum Physics technology. Quantum is defined as energy and physics is the science of energy. The word SCIO means to know in Latin. By using computer technology, the SCIO scans the body from head to toe; emotionally, physically and spiritually in a matter of minutes. I compile your complete analysis after which the SCIO applies multiple energy therapies throughout the body, creating a holistic balance.

Angel Therapy is the divine aspect of my work. I intuitively receive profound messages from the Archangels. Through their guidance and wisdom, I help to inspire you, illuminating you on your path of living in your highest potential. I passionately believe that when we honor and value ourselves, it creates a ripple effect to facilitate the planet's healing. As the Angels often share with me, "We are divine beings and deserve a life filled with joy and love." I am indeed truly blessed to be a part of this sacred healing.

god, it's crap like this that really makes me hate the word "quantum", part of me wishes Stephen Hawking grew up to be a football star or something and we wouldn't have to listen to this tripe coming from these psycho-hillbilly degenerates.

They'd mutter about etheric ressonances if it wasn't quantum energy.

Why do these nutcases always feel the need to guide people? Do you think there's something seriously lacking in their lives, and this makes them feel like they're somebody?

The site also says that crystals are the children of the indigos. So I suppose McCarthy sees herself as an indigo if her son is a crystal. If being an indigo results in C-list celebrity status, then what are the A-list celebs? Super-indigos?

Well, this is what happens when hippies discover the internet.

Hopefully, Jenny's indigo "movement" will follow the same path as her career, and will be circling the drain shortly.

So what was she on Leno for, Steve? Has somebody actually hired her again after the mess that was "Dirty Love"?: http://imdb.com/title/tt0327643/

I see Jenny is going to be on the Howard Stern show this Tuesday, and will presumably be talking about this. That should be one worth tuning in for.

I know a woman who's convinced her son is an Indigo, because "a guy in town who can see auras" told her so. What her son actually is, is an obnoxious brat (and not the misunderstood-because-he's-too-smart type, but the just-plain-bratty type). I can't decide whether her belief in his Indigo-ness is an attempt at rationalizing his brattiness, or distracting herself from it.

My mom gave me Jenny McCarthy's pregnancy book, Belly Laughs, when I was pregnant. It was okay, but there was a part where I was horrified - she and her husband were driving to a friend's house up a long driveway when she was 8 months or so pregnant and she told him to hurry because she really, really had to pee, so he slowed down and insisted on explaining some building on the grounds to her (slowly). She finally climbed out of the slowly moving car and peed on the side of the driveway.

Thank goodness she divorced him. What a cruel sonofab***h. Who does something mean and petty like that?

Isn't Jenny McCarthy some slutty trashbag ho? I remember seeing pictures of her and thinking that she'd be a runner-up to Courtney Love in that category.
And what's an indigo child anyway? I am vaguely reminded of that Indigo Prophecy game. It sucked.

Ok, Jenny. Take your Indigo child to special daycare for gifted children, feed it fish oils, have it listen to Mozart all day long, and I'll still score better, as will my Pekingese.

By the way, given the predilection for the foolish to fall into this, I predict in 10 years a study that demonstrates the Indigo children are actually below average.

No it doesn't - it's the first person singular so it means "I know". "To know" is the infinitive - IIRC that's "Scire".

GASP! I'm sorry you didn't like it. I thought it was brilliant, and the QTE (Quick Timed Event) system was spot-on. A great story, too. True, it took me about a half-hour learning curve, and I TOTALLY didn't see the bloody shirt he was wearing on the floor (then again, I failed the clairvoyance QTE) when you have to hide the evidence after the opening scene. I emphatically implore you to give it another go, it's the closest idea to an interactive film that I've seen. After a second go you still don't like it, can't blame you, but I do feel it's worthy of a second go, like "Beyond Good and Evil." I'd LOVE to see a sequel to that! Here's Wikipedia's entry on it, originally titled "Fahrenheit": http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indigo_Prophecy

Seriously, this indigo child thingy is merely an excuse for certain parents to own up to their responsibility and actually RAISE their kids.
