Sorry if this CT forum is only for 9/11 stuff, because that's all I see here. :)

I'd never heard of this until I saw it on digg the other day. Long story short, several kids accused Lawrence King in Omaha, NE of running a child sex ring. The problem is, Lawrence King was an upcoming GOP star, and the whole thing was linked to some very prominant republicans, including Bush Sr. The FBI threated the kids with perjury, one key individual mysteriously died, and some of the people involved were actually later convicted of sex crimes and King was convicted of embezzlement (Franklin Community Federal Credit Union).

The video footage is (supposedly) to a documentary that was going to run on the Discovery Channel on May 3, 1994. However, it was pulled at the last minute, and it's rumored that they were reimbursed by the government for the time spent making it.

So, why isn't this a more major CT? It's got everything: sex, drugs, a vice president (vice fits well here, hehe), convicted felons, murder, cover-up, the FBI, etc. I'd think this would be more commonly talked about than JFK, the moonlanding and others. Or did "they" actually do a good job of "shutting people up"? ;)

Seriously though, how many have heard of this?

It did not air because it was found out to be a hoax, if I remember correctly.

It's general conspiracy stuff.

9-11 is is the hot topic du'jour though. It's like the entire conspiracist crowd has dropped all thier personal pet issues, grabbed a whole raft of new recruits from what are usually sane people drawn in by Bush-hate and the whole bunch of them are now bitching about 9-11 non-stop.

Talk about whatever conspiracy junk you want though. Just don't expect the 9-11 crap to die down until after the 2008 election (or get 12 times worse if Condi wins).
 
It's a very disturbing film and AFAIK it was not a hoax. I would have thought it had more mileage than a four post thread. I advise to watch it.
 
I do know that a young girl who refuse to retract her claims of abuse went to prison. And people wonder why people in cases of conspiracy why people dont speak up.

In mid-1993, after The Franklin Cover-Up had been circulating for almost a year, the British-based TV station, Yorkshire Television, sent a top-notch team to Nebraska to launch its own investigation of the Franklin case. Yorkshire had a contract with the Discovery Channel to produce a documentary on the case for American television.

They spent many months in Nebraska, and also travelled this country from one end to the other, interviewing, filming, and documenting piece-by-piece the Franklin story as I had told it in the book. They spent somewhere between a quarter-million and one-half million dollars investigating the story, deploying probably a thousand times the resources and abilities that I personally had.

Over the year that I worked with them, I was amazed at the team’s ability to gather new documents and witnesses which kept opening up new and frightening facts about Franklin. They were a crack team. In the final weeks that they were in Nebraska, they expressed their certainty that they would win awards for this documented horror story of government-sanctioned abuse of children; and government protection of some of this country’s most powerful businessmen and politicians, who had been the chief acts in the Franklin story.

Keep in mind that those ritual abuse charges, which the Grand Jury found to be a hoax, arose in a climate of hysteria over (false) accusations of satanic ritual child abuse, of which the McMartin preschool case and the Margaret Kelly Michaels case were preeminent.

Also I dont see how the cases you link to have any bearing on this case.

It is funny you bring up a video hosted on sites who put out propaganda against Israel, present Chemtrails, and other assorted junk (nutjobjunk).

Now I know even the dumbest web sites could have something, but the odds are against it based on the facts.

I would say all the sources within the documentary corroborate each other. Where is the evidence that the documentary is illegitimate

I have no passion to study another non-9/11 CT

I haven't watched the documentary, sorry, I don't feel like spending an hour of my life getting my IQ lowered. But to answer your question - no, the claims of several children is not by itself reliable evidence. See Gravy's post above about the McMartin preschool fiasco.

You were welcomed here earlier today and given a list of behaviors that won't be looked at favorably here. I can't recall if it was on the list, but the stereotypical CT behavior has been to simply tell others to watch a video, without specifying exactly what in the video you find to be good evidence. That won't get you very far here - we expect you to state your case yourself.

Why is the film credible? the thread starts out and says it was false stuff. What is the new evidence to support the charges? And why do the charges make false claims about Reagan/Bush?

Just spell out all the stuff for one stop shopping on your part and others.

You get all your questions out up front and stop playing around we are ready for the big new bits of facts you are hiding, or holding on to.

I didn't mock you, just asked you if there were any other sources than this film.

It's just that from what I've seen, only conspiracy sites talk about this case, which makes me wonder of its veracity.

That's all, no mockering on my part.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, Republican governor, had sex with a 16 year old when he was 28.
Jean Schmidt, OH-2, though not herself implicated, employed a campaign manager (Joe Braun) in her 2005 election who once wrote an article condemning gay men for running sex ad profiles, and who was then accused of running his own sex profile on Collarme, an S&M sex site. Yes, and what do a lot of those say? "Convicted ... Admitted ... Plead guilty ..." None of which seems to show up in CT accusations.

If all these Republicans can be brought down, why should we expect that some other group can get away with it? When there's actual evidence, people go to jail, it's that simple.
