Rosie O ranting on "the View"

Well, twoofers are thrilled that Rosie went on a tirade today, expressing her opinions on 9/11 and suggesting government complicity.

Based on what I've read, she's spewing major twoofer rhetoric. Here are some of her quotes...

"No, but I do believe it's the first time in history that fire has melted steel - I do believe that it defies physics for the World Trade Center Building 7, which collapsed in on itself, it is impossible for a building to fall the way it fell without explosives being involved - World Trade Center 7."

"One and two got hit by planes, 7 miraculously the first time in history, steel was melted by fire - it is physically impossible,"

"I don't know but to say we don't know and it was imploded in a demolition is beyond ignorant, look at the films get a physics expert here from Yale, from Harvard, pick the school, it defies reason."

Do twoofers receive a handbook I'm not aware of?

The "movement" is regarding this as a "watershed" event, considering the number of people that watch the View.

So, is Rosie the kiiinnn-igit in shining armor the "truth" movement has been waiting for?

is there a way to get someone with some credentials to write into Elizabeth or Barbara to tell them that Rosie is 100% wrong, and to have them READ the reports issued on the WTC towers and WTC 7? Could someone contact one of the engineers on the NIST reports to put their opinion in, so that Barbara and Elizabeth can set her straight?

That would be great. I'm not sure. Perhaps there's someone on it right now. I've been seeing this topic spring up in several places, so she definitely stirred the ◊◊◊◊ storm with her little rant. Still, shows like that do have fact checkers and so on. Perhaps they'll give a little nod in a future episode to stress that those are Rosie's opinions and nothing more.

Well, might as well add Rosie to the ever growing list of celebrities who support these theories.

I wonder what kind of effect Rosie's rants are having on the audience of The View?
 
She was blasted in the press the first time she ranted...The more she does so, the more she will be nailed to the wall...

The truthers believe that any publicity is good publicity. Unfortunately for them, this is flawed thinking. Their rationale, or lack there of, is based in the wrong assumption that if people are pointed to "look into it themselves" that they will end up joining da twoofers.

She reminds me of Fetzer (in many ways actually), in that she is so behind the times, so using the "old debunked" stuff, that she comes off to anyone with any common sense as simply rediculous.

Rosies secondary back door income.

let me ask you this. lets say you were a billionaire. who was going to distribute a movie. Would it be a good marketing strategy to throw some "loose change" rosies way to "persuade" her to stir up 9/11 troof in anticipation of the movies release? She doesn't even have to dispute facts. All she has to do is say "I saw it" or "I read it" when referred to debunking information or sites.

As mentioned, dragging this into the "mainstream" in any fashion is bad news for everyone in the movement but Avery. It will cause people to be curious and go see the movie.....but it will also make various professionals come out and debunk all the rhetoric.

But it will increase the box office for LCFC cause we as a people are curious. It doesn't mean that it's going to make the rest of the world "wake up".

Like someone else said before....I'll buy a ticket to another movie and sneak in to see it lol.....I'm sure there will be plenty of open seats.

Any physics experts here? Well then, I guess I'll have to do. My BSc (Math Physics Major) is not from a prestgious US university and is something like 45 years old. But, Rosie, Rosie, Rosie, it does not "defy reason"; it is entirely explicable.

To bad about Rosie, she really does a number on "The Secret".

Slow down a bit. Let's just say that Cuban's statement about bringing LC:FC into the light so it can be debunked is true. Rosie's rants most definitely will turn alot of attention to 9/11 (and LC). Let's just say some of that attention may come from credentialed scientists and the end result is a total dismantling of the conspiracy theories within 2 months. Why would Cuban bankroll LC:FC if his goal is already met?

Because people are curious by nature and Cuban is somewhat of a smart businessman. Let's not look at this from a critical or rational point of view........

The movement starts getting all kinds of airtime and various experts etc start tearing this apart. LCFC is something that gets mentioned over and over as a soon to be released "documentary" etc etc. Your average person watching this play out from whatever avenue will still have enough curiosity to go see the movie and what all the hype is about. It's not much different than anything else you read in the paper or hear on the news. When people do bad or stupid things people want to see it.....

Just remember......there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Joe Scarborough just had Danny Bonaducci on discussing Rosie. He said soemthing to the effect...

"If there was rope thick enough, she should be hung for treason".

WHile I do not agree with this, I do belief she is whacko jacko now, and though I think she is hurting the truth movement, which is a plus, i think she is hurting Barbara Walters credibility, which is too bad.

I really don't know....I was offering a suggestion to your question of why he would do something.

If various people come out speaking about the "movement" and nobody comes forward in waves to debunk anything.....people will go see the movie.

If various people come out speaking about the "movement" and they get swarmed by people in various fields debunking everything....people will go see the movie.

It's all about the marketing......regardless of what his beliefs are.....it's just plain old marketing.

The more she rants the more people will want to know why she thinks the way she does. Most people have never heard of WTC 7. The Truth Movement will grow–in my opinion in the wrong direction–but it will grow.
