My idea for a new investigation

In another thread I asked truthers what a new investigation should look like.

Only 3 truthers stepped up.

TruthSeeker1234 basically said that a new investigation would be pointless since "The perpetrators of 9/11 are far, far above any jurisdiction" and that "The mainstream media is in on it too, they're just an arm of the government."

mjd1982 wants a "transparent" and "accountable" investigation to be carried out by...the US government!

malcolm kirkman is hoping for a "Public Inquiry" like the ones in the UK.

Yet none of them were willing to say who should testify and who should not.

So I've got my own idea for a new investigation. Now granted, this new investigation would have no legal power, but it would certainly make waves globally.

The best part? Truthers can start it right now!

Step 1: Get funding. Investigations cost a ton. But that's not a problem for truthers. Charlie Sheen, Rosie, Alex Jones...these people alone have millions of dollars; tens of millions even. All those book sales, DVD sales and speaking engagements have earned some serious cash for the leaders of this movement - cash which could now be used to give 9/11 truth its greatest boost ever. Also, given that there are so many truthers out there, a collection could be taken up which should easily bring in millions more $. Private donations in the name of science and truth could also be sought.

Step 2: Gather experts for the investigation. Obviously NIST, FEMA and the experts consulted by Popular Mechanics don't count. But then neither do the scholars or AE911. But don't worry: there are plenty of experts who have not publically weighed in on 9/11. These are the people you want. So truthers could easily call up engineering schools and firms around the world and assemble a panel of highly qualified people from all the relevant fields: aviation, engineering, demolitions, physics, etc. Given that truthers insist that US experts are under constant threat from the government, they could focus on Europe, Asia, or even places like Venezuela. Assure all experts that they will be paid a given amount for their time regardless of their conclusions.

Step 3: show the evidence to this collection of experts. All evidence. Show them the research of NIST, FEMA, Greening, MIT, Perdue, Steven Jones, Judy Wood, Gordon Ross, AE911 - you name it. Show them all the witness testimony. Call witnesses and other experts from both sides to testify.

Step 4: allow the panel to reach conclusions on the issues and present reports. And there you'd have it: the closest thing to an independent/unbiased investigation that you could ask for.

As it stands, the truth movement only has the "scholars" and AE911, which has produced no peer-reviewed work and fools no one outside of the movement itself. They are, in a word, useless.

But if you follow my idea, you could end up with a panel of international experts (real ones!) backing the "truth" about 9/11! Or they could end up hammering yet another nail in the movement's coffin. One or the other.

So...who's game?

A new investigation is just waiting to happen, folks. Dylan, Rosie, Charlie...you know what to do.

The truthers aren't interested in the investigation itself. It's the conclusions (and whether they mirror their own) that interest them. How many times have we seen a truther state that any investigation that does not coincide with their own theories is flawed in some way?
 
The only problem with that is we won't be able to work out which experts have been paid off until after they've reached their conclusions...

The twoofers pick the experts so no excuses. Oh wait...maybe the NWO paid them off during the investigation.

OK, ok....so twoofers pick the experts and the investigation is held in...Cuba, far from US agents.

Oh crap, forgot about Gitmo!

It's because their minds are made up, their evidience supports their views (to them).

Yeah, that's why I think it's a shame people like you do all their work for them. :)
 
I think a truly independent investigation is a great idea. The only thing I would change to your suggestion is that I think the protocol for the investigation should precede the funding stage so people know exactly what they are funding from the start.
The sad truth is that the last thing in the world the CTs actually want to see is a truly fair and independent investigation. CTs like to think in ambiguous rather than the concrete terms, there should be an "investigation" but no concrete definition of what that investigation would look like.

I think we see this all the time. We ask the thuthers for details on what they want, or how they believe the plan was made. The answer is usually akin to crickets chirping in an empty room.

So out of frustration, we construct a believable, but hypothetical scenario for them. I can't imagine why they don't take that and run with it.

It seems that the only people qualified to lead the truth movement are the skeptics!
 
The problem is the fact that CTs don't want to be wrong. If by any chance they do go through this independent investigation and it does hammer another nail in the coffin, that is going to give them yet another conspiracy. As for coming up with a plan on their own, that is going to be nearly impossible. Not everyone in the truth movement agrees on all of the facts, they have their own theory and ect. I guess its easy to say inside job then to prove.

We may never see an investigation started by the truth movement, its all about personal gain. Like you said Alex Jones and the rest who write and publish books or movies will never fund the investigation. They see no reason for it since like you all have said and we have all witnessed, they are right about everything no matter what information is provided to disprove their "facts".
 
It's just like the TV series where there's sexual tension between two of the characters--you KNOW it will never happen, because that's a proven recipe for a collapse in the ratings. However, the anticipation of it keeps people tuned in...

I think that troofers believe in a benevolent counterpart to the shadowy NWO (or whoever they think is running things) -- a group of kindly but powerful Titans, completely impartial and always on the side of Good*, that can Do Something About It if only someone will...you know...DO SOMETHING.

Someone ELSE, that is. Not the troofers. Definitely not the troofers.




*Perhaps a council of Wizards. Yes, that's it! Wizards!!

Bien sûr. Because we're interested in the results, and have no problem having our bubbles burst if reality turns out different than anticipated.

The truthers are emotionally invested in the "twoof", and would certainly have a problem with bubble-bursting. So they are quite content with there being NO investigation. That way, they can keep wailing against the government, while a real investigation might prove that government right.

How can this be? Their goal is a new investigation and here I am giving them advice and ideas - free of charge! - to help bring this investigation about.

It's almost as if they don't really want one.

How about Iran? Surely the US/NWO can't reach the twoofers when they are sitting in Iran of all places...
 
A much easier task would be to take a page out of the Discovery Institute's handbook. Stop referring to 9/11 as a "conspiracy" or "inside job" and instead start using Domestic Malevolent Design. Get it into public school curriculum, just to, you know, teach the controversy. Then later on they can open up a Truth Museum to give the Faithful some sort of Mecca to which they can come and Fellowship with one another. Or something.

That's a good idea. It'll give them a place to make their pointless and quixotic protests!

Didja ever notice the strange similarity betwixed the 911 boys and religion?

My ex-wife was a raging shiite catholic who always spoke of the "TRUTH" of the bible and so on.

Why is that word so maligned and so misused by those with little or no truth at all?
