Yet again....WHO should investigate 9/11?

I've asked this question of every truther I've encountered who says anything about wanting a "new investigation." Yeah that's pretty much all of them. :D

So I ask them what I think is a perfectly logical question: whose final report they you trust - no bitching, no excuses - should it fail to agree with your beliefs?

Yet strangely, none of them will answer; Zensmacker being the latest.

They'll talk about the investigation vaguely - "it'll look into all theories, it'll be independent..." - but when it comes to specifics they refuse to name who they think is qualified and trustworthy to carry out the actual investigation itself, or even who should sit on the panel that passes final judgment.

So my question to truthers, yet again, is who should carry out a new 9/11 investigation?

I mean we've got Dylan Avery, Steven Jones, DR Griffin and a host of others all calling for it. That, we are told, is their main goal. Sounds fair enough. But surely the question of who should investigate must have come up at some point. Surely some truther, somewhere, must have thought about it.

I hate to question the honestly of the "truthseekers" but it seems to me that they're looking for an out in the event that a new investigation doesn't conclude "inside job." Not only are they unwilling to list the experts who should testify but they also seem to think that the government should fund it! :eek: Government oversight is what so badly tainted the NIST report and 9/11 commission, IIRC. So why call for their funding yet again?

Do truthers simply want the government involved so they can dismiss the report if they don't like it? Are they just too embarrassed to say: "I want Steven Jones and Richard Gage to testify and DR Griffin to write the final report?"

I'd have to say yes.

Any truthers out there want to prove me wrong?
 
I think Randy, Simon and Paula should handle it. Although Ms. Abdul might have to recuse herself because her past relationship with Emilio could make her biased against anything a Sheen believes.

I'm sure that mjd1982 would say just that without a hint of embarrassment.
 
What they must understand is this...A new investigation that is given subpoena power to even look at classified documents can only be done through one path... and it's governmental. What are they to do? In their mind, this is the most impossible path for them since the government is "in on it". All they have is a wish to hang onto, nothing else.
 
Equally important questions would be who shall pay for the investigation and who shall choose the investigators.

I've often seen the NIST report 'criticised' on the grounds that NIST are state-connected. When it is pointed out to the critic that a lot of private companies were involved in the work, the critique then becomes that they too are untrustworthy because they were chosen by NIST (and therefore the government) and/or because they've taken government money.

So it would seem that the only remaining option is for the government to have no hand in things. It can't appoint anyone to as much as help to select the investigators nor can it foot the bill for the work carried out by those selected.
 
I think some form of organisation, or even order, if you will should take on the role. And perhaps- given the ramifications of 9/11 on a global scale, the international nature of many of the accusations and the mistrust that many have for the US government, this order should be a world one. And as 9/11 was such an unprecedented event, and no global body exists which has the criminal investigative and engineering expertise to conduct a proper review of 9/11- this organisation would have to be completely new.

Now, what to call such a body… hmmm…

The follow-up question would of cpurse be: If your favourite investigators comes to the conclusion that the whole official shebang with 9/11 is correct and no further questions are needed. Would you then give up and admit your theories where, amusing at the best?

They really don´t know. I´ve been in that discussion many times myself. And the never ever brings forth a name or even the type of experts they wannt. usuall they are satisified with an investigation made by independent experts. But as you´ve noticed. They will fall short when it comes to pinpoint what "indepentet" should mean.
 
CHF, if any twoofers actually give you a complete and understandable answer to this, I'll... I'll... well, I don't know what I'll do, but it'll be something I don't do normally.

In other words, there's about as much likelihood of twoofers answering this as there is the Queen of England will give me her crown; it just ain't happening.

In case any of you missed this thread, Les Jamieson has proposed a new 9/11 commission made up of a few interesting characters. (Each to be paid a 6-figure salary)

If additional Commissioners or candidates are needed to fill vacancies, a selection panel of 3 persons will be named by Dr. William Pepper and/or Carl E. Person from individuals who have published a book, film, magazine article, or website about 9/11 to draw up a list of additional candidates. (#4)

So Lyte Tripp, Dylan Avery, Killtown, Alex Jones are all eligible.

Now to the REALLY good part.

They want $10,000,000 per year to run this, with a time limit of 5 years. (#8)

Each commission member gets a salary of $112,500, and up to $20,000/year for expenses.(#14) The best part is, they're not even required to work on the Commission full-time! (#16)

Hypothetically, if in some parallel universe, they do get a new investigation, and the alternate story is confirmed, we would be the ones protesting the "official story".

I think I would prefer white tee shirts though. Black is too hot in the sun while holding a sign that says:" Investigate Woo Woo!"

They seem to want some kind of private commission with the same powers that the police and and official commission would have.
Does'nt work that way,guys.
Of course, their idea of a legal process is a "People's Tribunal" so I leave you to guess what their idea of an investigation would be like.

Yeah I guess "independent" means "thinks 9/11 was an inside job". Or, according to the proposal "anyone who has created a book, movie or website about 9/11".

3. RuPaul
4. Karl Rove, since he's not going to be doing anything else.
6. (since TAM doesn't have a 5, I'm skipping it, too!) Bill Clinton, since he's not too busy, either.
7. Adam West, if he's not too busy as Quahog's Mayor.
8. The Supremes, since Diana Ross tossed them to the curb.
9. F. Lee Bailey, so we have some kind of lawyer-type person.

Just looked up Ed Asner on Wikipedia.
I was a little shocked he has gone over to the Woo side in such a big way.
